The purpose of this study is to classify and classify them into Sino-Korean based on abbreviated Sino-Korean in Korean, and to explain their forms and semantic characteristics. There are many terms related to abbreviations discussed in the previous studies and they are easy to be confused. Based on the existing research, this study defined the abbreviation of Sino-Korean as a phenomenon more simplified than the original form in which a part of the constituent is abbreviated or omitted in the form of a word or a word composed more than two syllables. In Chapter 1, we describe the research purpose, the law and method, and summarize researchers related to abbreviations. Although the studies related to the existing abbreviation types have been extended from phonology to morphology and syntax, the concept and scope of abbreviations related to Sino-Korean have not yet been clearly distinguished. In Chapter 2, terms related to abbreviations are summarized and based on this, the concept of abbreviations in Sino-Korean is established. According to the concept of abbreviation of Sino-Korean, it is classified into 6 words such as acronym, tail acronym, blending word, clipping word, connection type and selective type. In Section 3, phonological phenomena, morphological phenomena and semantic phenomena are considered in several linguistic phenomena related to abbreviations of Sino-Korean. There is a pattern of phonemic phenomenon, a rule of 'ㄴ', a disappearance of 'ㄴ', and a change of '''after the abbreviation of Sino-Korean. There are patterns of Sino-Korean abbreviated according to the number of syllables by morphological phenomena. Among them, the abbreviation of Sino-Korean is the most productive There are various types of abbreviations. Of the various types, clause words occupy absolute positions, followed by two syllable abbreviations and horn syllable abbreviations are the fewest. In this study, we investigated whether or not research is attached, safe, and whether ‘homozygosity' occurs after abbreviations according to the usage environment and semantics of Sino-Korean. In Section 4, we summarize the abbreviations of four character idioms with morphological features and analyze the internal structure relationship between abbreviations and original forms. In addition, according to the semantic characteristics, the abbreviation of Sino-Korean is divided into two types, that is, the relationship between equality and subordination.
