This aims to measure text difficulty of Korean textbooks by mechanical and automatic methods, and apply the result to the standard of text modification. It focuses on informative texts since these are the most common in Korean textbooks and appear regardless of the text difficulty. The research question of this is how the scores of ‘text difficulty factors in informative texts’ increase by the level of reading in Korean textbooks. I assume vocabulary, length of sentence, and verbal ending are the factors of text difficulty by advanced research. Also, those are easy to measure by computational method and targets of text modification. I analyzed Korean Textbook Corpora (KTC), which are consistent of three kinds of Korean textbooks from level 3 to level 6, with programming language R. As a result, every factors showed statistically significant correlation with the text level. I suggest each range of three factors for each levels. However, level 3 and level 4 (an intermediate level) showed similar complexion and so did level 5 and level 6 (an advanced level). Thus, I grouped them as intermediate and advanced levels. The ranges that this suggests might be applied when researchers or Korean language teachers modify Korean reading text. ,韩语毕业论文,韩语论文范文 |
