This study is to examine teaching method of Korean lexicon about cuisine verbs for married immigrant. The objects of study are all verbs related to cuisine. Lexicon included all the verbs which are connected with preparing for cuisine, cooking, placing food in a dish, and storing. But the verbs related to farming, reaping, buying food source are excluded. The verbs related to only eating process are also excluded. 167 verbs are studied. Verbs related to cuisine are extracted from 'lexicon for learning Korean' which the National Institute of the Korean Language provided in 2003. And Verbs related to cuisine are added from 'Dietary Life' of『Modern Korean dictionary by semantic classification』, 『Baek Jong Won's Homemade Food Menu 54』, 『Cooking Korean』which Korean linguists made for teaching Korean, 『Korean for married immigrants』which the National Institute of the Korean Language made, and the recipes written on products. Extracted verbs are classified into two categories, heating cooking and heatless cooking. The meanings of verbs are presented in a table. They are quoted from 'Korean standard unabridged dictionary' which the National Institute of the Korean Language made, 『Modern Korean dictionary by semantic classification』, and 『Korean Cooking dictionary』. After the meanings are presented, the differences of words are explained by the distinctive elements of each verb. Cuisine verbs are classified into the basic level, intermediate level, advanced level, considering the word list of 'the National Institute of the Korean Language', Korean textbooks, frequency of use. The grade of cuisine verbs which this study selected is a total list of 167, 47 for the basic, 64 for the intermediate, 64 for the advanced. Finally, teaching methods of Korean lexicon about cuisine verbs are presented according to the basic level, intermediate level, advanced level. Teaching method of playing a game are presented in each level, such as diceplay and word card for the basic level, recipe card for the intermediate level, bingo game and ladder game for the advanced level.
