The purpose of this study is to analyze Korean particle errors in free writing by Spanish speakers in Spain with comparing and contrasting the Korean and Spanish languages to identify, classify and describe the sources of the errors. The first chapter presents the objectives and materials of this study and examines previous research on error analysis of the Korean language with a focus on Spanish speakers. The second chapter reviews the theoretical basis of this study, delving into the theories of Contrastive Analysis and Error Analysis for identifying sources of such errors. The third chapter investigates the frequency of particle uses and errors including omission, substitution and addition as a result of interlingual and intralingual interferences.
