Form 2 asks the respondents about the position of adverbials in discourse and practical use. And Form 3 is about the word order among adverbials: the respondents were asked to place suggested adverbials in order. To analyze the difference by group, SPSS Statistics 21 program was employed for chi-square test and variance analysis. Chapter IV shows the results of analysis in Chapter III. In this chapter, detailed findings were described on how native English speakers who learn Korean acquire the position and word order of Korean adverbials. The description of the results is largely divided into 3 parts. First, it was about the acquisition of the position of Korean adverbials in syntax (Question I). The finding shows that the English natives learners do not well understand adverbials in relation of modification, but well understand it in relation of response. And there is no difference by proficiency. Second, it was about the acquisition of the position of Korean adverbials in discourse and practical use (Question II). The finding shows that the English natives learners do not well understand the shifting (positional change) of adverbial phrase both in strengthening and weakening speaker's intention. And there is no difference by proficiency. Third, it was about the acquisition of the word order of Korean adverbials (Question III). The finding shows that the learners do not well understand the word order of adverbials in general. Their understanding on the world order of Korean adverbials is low regardless of their proficiency in Korea. In Chapter V, these findings were summarized based on Chapter IV and the significance and limitations of this study were described. This study has significance as follows. First, this study highlighted the acquisition of additional language element to that of vocabularies and sentence patterns, which have usually stressed in educational field. Second, it contributed to raising the awareness of the position and word order, which have been paid attention relatively less. Third, the findings of this study can be used as the basic data for the position and word order of adverbials, which have to be dealt in class. Fourth, it confirmed the importance of learning language in discourse and practical use again, which have been relatively neglected in educational field. However, this study has a limitation that it studied only on English native learners, so research subjects are not various. In addition, their acquisition of the position and word order of adverbials were examined only with assessment forms. Therefore, it lacks in data from actual learning, so it could not reveal various aspects of learners acquiring the position and word order of adverbials. In addition, the number of adverbials listed in the assessment form is much smaller than that actually used in daily life.
