The purpose of this study is to provide basic data so that education institution for young children can support multi cultural family in a more systematic and desirable manner by comparing teachers' awareness of multi cultural family support and parents' awareness of multi cultural family support. Subjects of this study to achieve above mentioned purpose are as follows.

1. Is there a difference between teachers' awareness and parents' awareness of operation of multi cultural family support by education institution for young children?
2. Is there a difference between teachers' awareness and parents' awareness of multi cultural family support by education institution for young children?
1) What are the need and characteristics of multi cultural family support?
2) What is teachers' and parents' awareness of difficulties with and solution for multi cultural family support?
3) What is the needs of teachers and parents about operation of multi cultural family support?

Participants of this study were teachers who worked for education institution for young children located in Ansan city and Siheung city and parents of multi cultural family. Questionnaire was made by studying relevant literature based on research conducted by HyeGyeong Park (2012). 1000 copies of questionnaire were sent to 300 teachers and 700 parents and 592 copies (59.2%) returned (274 copies that teachers returned and 318 copies that parents returned). Out of 592 copies excluding 172 copies, 420 copies (214 copies that teachers returned and 206 copies that parents returned) were used for analysis. Frequency analysis, cross tabulation, chi-test and t-test were used through SPSS 18.0 program.

Findings of this study are as follows.
First, it was found that most of the teachers and parents surveyed said that they recognize multi cultural family support provided by education institution for young children. Teachers surveyed said that the reason cultural family support is not provided is due to poor participation of parents. Parents said that the reason cultural family support is not provided is that cultural family support is not helpful to them. Teachers and parents said that the purpose of supporting multi cultural family is to help education institution for young children and multi cultural family communicate smoothly. When it comes to relations between family support type and satisfaction, teachers showed the highest satisfaction with interview with parents followed by support for parents and participation of parents. Parents showed lower awareness of participation than teachers. Teachers and parents said that they participate in multi cultural family support to have better understanding of their children and obtain information on education.
Second, teachers and parents said that it is necessary for education institution for young children to support multi cultural family. Teachers said that multi cultural family support provided by education institution for young children is necessary for smooth communication and feedback with multi cultural family. Parents said that multi cultural family support provided by education institution for young children is necessary for nurture and education of children. When asking teachers and parents who said that multi cultural family support by education institution for young children is not necessary about a reason for such answer, teachers said that participation of parents of multi cultural family is poor while parents said that multi cultural family support is fully provided by institutions or mass media. Teachers and parents said that there is a difference between multi cultural family support and general parent education. Teachers said that advantage of family support is stabilization of multi cultural family and improvement of relations between parents and children. Parents said that advantage of family support is improvement of intimacy and trust between multi cultural family and education institution for young children. Teachers and parents said that relation between multi cultural family and education institution for young children is cooperative one but teachers said family is prior to education institution for young children while parents said education institution for young children is prior to family.
Third, when surveying difficulties teachers and parents of multi cultural family had and a solution to the problem, teachers said that they have a difficulty due to lack of knowledge and understanding of multi cultural family support and find information using internet and multi cultural family center to solve the problem. Parents said that they have the greatest difficulty in teaching their children to have good life habit and are under stress of discrimination and prejudice against multi culture family. Parents said that they ask other parents to solve above mentioned problem.
Fourth, when surveying requests of teachers and parents with regard to operation of multi culture family support, people in charge of family support said that both teachers and parents should be outside experts and beneficiary of family support should be all family members. When it comes to method of family support, teachers said that it is good to have family support go side by side with general family as necessary while parents said that it is good to support multi cultural family together with general family. For types of preferred family support, both teachers and parents preferred support for parents. For operation method, teachers said that giving a support once every three months and between 16 o'clock and 18 o'clock of weekday(Monday·Tuesday·Wednesday·Thursday) is good while parents said that giving a support once a month and between 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock is good. Both teachers and parents said that one hour is good which takes to provide a support. Teachers showed higher awareness of basic life habit guidance, child-rearing attitude, communication method, understanding and guidance of development of infants and guidance of child's problem behavior than parents. Parents showed higher awareness of teaching Korean language by parents of multi culture family, cooperation of family members regarding child-rearing and coping with conflict regarding child-rearing than teachers.

This study is significant in that it provides basic data which helps education institution for young children to support multi cultural family more effectively based on a difference in awareness between teachers and parents.
