The purpose of this study is to examine nursing work environment, job stress and health Problems and to identify the factors affecting nurses’ health problems.
The data were collected from 200 nurses working in one university hospital located in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do from Jan 10, 2015 to Jan 25, 2015.
These instruments were used for the measurement. For measuring nursing work environment, Korean version of nursing work inventory developed by Lake (2002) and verified for its reliability and validity by Eun-Hee Cho et al. (2011). For measuring job stress, the instrument developed by Mi-Ok Gu and Mae-Ja Kim (1985) and validated by Jin-Hee Joo (2009) was used. For measuring health problems, THI (Todie Health Index)-Korean version developed by department of health, college of medicine, Tokyo University, translated by Yoon-Sin Kim (1979), and modified and complemented by Gyeong-Hee Lim (2002) was used.
The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation, and Multiple Regression, using SPSS 19.0 program.
