The adverbial postpositional particles of the Korean language are divided differently according to their meaning and functions. There are many adverbial particles with similar functions, and there are functional differences with various meanings according to their usages. Especially the adverbial postpositional particles have their own meaning functions and, at the same time, they are used to express their functions for ‘cause, time, tool’, etc.
The aim of this research is a try to improve the communicative competence, so the research is focused on the adverbial particles ‘-ey, -eso, -ekay, -ro’ which usages Chines learners of Korean language very often confuse.
In Korean language, an adverbial particle is usually located behind a substantive, and functions as an adverbial, indicating a time, a place, a method, or a reason. In modern Chinese, a preposition usually comes after a noun or noun phrase, and its function is quite similar to that of adverbial particles in Korean.
In sum, the Korean adverbial particles correspond to the Chinese connecting words, but in part. As the Korean ‘-ey, -eso, -ekay, -ro’ are many similar meaning functions and have different usages of meaning, their corresponding Chinese expressions also are different.
