A discourse marker that is usually realized in spoken discourse performs diverse discourse functions as it is realized differently from its original meaning in particular discourse structures or circumstances. The purpose of this study is to suggest an effective teaching method to help Korean learners to understand the use of Korean discourse markers more successful.
This work is divided into 6 chapters of which highlights are as follows.
The first chapter, this study gave the general description the background and discovers the purpose and the method of this research.
The second chapter, this study summarized on the definition, types of exclamation and the function of discourse marker and its characteristics analyzed on the basis of function.
The third chapter, the discourse functions of the marker [kenang], [mak], [cam], examined along with examples in actual conversation and the differences and similarities of correspondence expressions in Chinese.
The fourth chapter, discussed the problem of Korean Teaching materials through the comparison between the native Korean speaker‘s conversation data and the textbook.
The fifth chapter, suggested an efficient education measures of Korean discourse markers to solve the problem of Korean Teaching materials.
As a conclusion, the last Chapter restates and summarizes briefly main points as well the strength and weakness of this study.
But this research field now is the initial stage. In the near future, this research need to be come more active than now.
