The subject of this study is to analyze the present situation of Korean refusing speech act education, find the problems in the situation of teaching Korean as a second language and design staged courses about refusal speech act education that is focused on intermediate Chinese learners. The contents are as follows: The first chapter states the necessity, purpose and research methods of this thesis, and then introduces the Korean refusal speech act pre-research in Korean educational field. The second chapter mainly expounds the meaning and features of Korean refusal speech act. Firstly, we introduce the meaning of speech act in foreign language education. Secondly, the features and analysis standards of Speech act refusals are introduced. The third chapter mainly targets at the phenomena of Korean speech act refusals. We introduce the strategy of speech act refusals in the first paragraph, and then analyze the speech act refusals in oral Korean through Korean native speakers’ refusing behaviors in Korean TV series and conversations among Chinese Korean learners. The fourth chapter mainly illustrates the current educational status of speech act refusals in Korean education. At first, we explained the purpose of speech act refusals; what is more, we state the educational contents through Korean TV series videos as well as published educational textbooks. Compared with speech act refusals in oral Korean, some problems are found. According to the goal of speech act refusals mentioned above, the phenomena when intermediate Chinese learners use it as well as the problems on the educational textbooks in chapter 3, we design speech act refusals courses to solve these problems that consist of five stages: Introduction-Reveal-Spread-Activity-ending. The fifth chapter , as the conclusion part, illustrates the significance of this , the deficiency as well as the follow-up research subject.
