Abstract

This tends to teach the Korean language to the Myanmar Students, the Korean culture through proverbs for use. I analyzed it, particularly for the teaching. Proverbs are the treasures that are based on the language; each nationality is used in each country, and the proverbs are representative for lifestyles, religion, and attitude of his people. That is why it is my opinion that you must study proverbs for understanding culture.
Firstly, this started by literature special relate to the seven universities; Yonsei-University, Goryo-University, Kyung Hee University, Ewha Women’sn University, Sung Kyun Kwan University, National University of Busan and Busan University of Foreign Studies. Afterwards, that I gathered 344 Proverbs of TOPIK and of other (Cho Kyun-yoon: 2007) in which there are the collections of the scholar in the books and in the theses.
In this there are 3 main parts; 1) proverbs of the same meanings and presentations, 2) proverbs of the a little bit similar meanings and presentations, and 3) proverbs of the same meanings and different presentations. Interviewing with 53 Myanmar people work in Busan and Daegu, as well as learning Korean language, I did practical survey for the teaching to the basic and the intermediate levels. Finally, I conferred with the data of the practical survey and the literary one for Myanmar students, learn the Korean language.
