The purpose of this study is to establish effective dialect training plan. To this end, this study proposes Dialect-Exposure Strategy, and made a korena listening training plan by the strategy and the plan should be verified through experiments.
Existing dialect education plans have two limitations.
First, the lack of learning time or learning pace is slow or standard korean learning efficiency can be degraded. The reason Because learning both Mandarin and dialects.
Second, all the four functions of language learning is inefficient. Dialects are spoken language, is important, the ability to understand dialect, the primary goal of dialect education is the improvement of listening skills. Therefore, dialect education should be focused listening.
This study in order to overcome the limitations of previous studies suggested Dialect-Exposure Strategy. This strategy is that learners will hear a dialect in class. Thus, learners are accustomed to dialect. Two out of four times the total listening activity is replaced by dialect. In addition to listening activities, other activities for learning of dialect does not. As a result, normally the standard Korean language learning, learners can develop listening skills in dialect.
To know the effectiveness of the training plan was an experiment in progress. Intermediate learners are divided into two groups. And then one group performed a traditional standard korean listening, and other groups have used that strategy. Proceed with the experiment 10 times and then achievement test was performed. As a result, dialect listening skills of using the strategy group have improved. Therefore Korean listening training plan by Dialect-Exposure Strategy is an effective dialect education plan.
