Collocation is a essential knowledge to use language fluency, and also takes on a primary role in the process of language acquisition. Japanese learners have an advantage of learning Korean language, but they have problem to use korean collocation variously and correctly because collocation has a unique system for each language. This thesis explored contents and methods of teaching and learning Korean collocation under the necessity of preparing the basement of Korean language education for Japanese learners.
This thesis is divided in five chapter, and each substance is as in the following.
Chapter one argued the necessity of this study, advanced researches, and the object and method of this study.
Chapter two firstly explored the concept and the range of collocation based on advanced researches in Korea and Japan. Secondly, it surveyed the present condition of Korean collocation education at universities in Japan, and found out problems in three parts; Korean language text, learning attitude of learners, and teaching attitude of teachers. Finally, it prepared the representative list of Korean collocation for Japanese learners that have a close connection with daily life, and classified by the contrastive linguistic method.
Chapter three surveyed the aspect of using Korean collocation by Japanese learners in order to explore the guidelines of teaching and learning Korean collocation. This survey found out the problem of using korean collocation and the correlation between the use of collocation and various factors that influence in.
Chapter four firstly suggested the goal and objects of teaching and learning Korean collocation. Secondly, it prepared contains and methods of teaching and learning Korean collocation based the result of survey in chapter three, and they also made use of the representative list of Korean collocation that prepared in chapter two. Finally, it suggested the model of teaching and learning Korean collocation at universities in Japan by the making use of texts that is used in now.
Chapter five argues the conclusion and limitations of this study.
