ABSTRACT
A Contrastive Analysis of Comparative Sentences in Modern Chinese-Korean

"Comparison" is one the basic methods that mankind recognizes objective world and the most basic language activity that mankind uses. Each race uses concept, "comparison" in all the daily lives. Then, what expresses this concept with language is just 'comparison structure'. Method to show comparison with language shows common feature and special differentia in each language. In this thesis, this researcher tries to analyze by contrasting typical comparison structure of Chinese and Korean on the basis of construction form and grammar meaning.
1. In introduction, goal and meaning of study of this thesis and range and method of study are introduced, and study result of Chinese and Korean scholars about comparison structure is described briefly. And, in the next chapter, concept and type of comparison structure are arranged, and type of comparison structure which is the study subject of this thesis is to be examined.
2. In the chapter 3, equal comparison structure of Korean and Chinese is constrasted and analyzed. Equal comparison structure is classified into simple equal comparison structure and similar equal comparison structure greatly. In simple equal comparison structure, common feature and differentia that construction structure, component of comparison clause and component of comparison result have are analyzed centering around "一样" phrase and "같다" phrase, and discussion is made by contrasting negation form at the same time. In similar equal comparison structure, common feature and differentia that construction structure, component of comparison clause, and component of comparison result have are analyzed centering around "有" character and "-만큼" phrase and "像" character and "-처럼" phrase and contrast analysis for negation form is made at the same time.
3. In the chapter 4, graded comparison structure of Korean and Chinese is studied. Graded comparison structure is classified into superior comparison structure, inferior comparison structure and superlative comparison structure. In superior comparison structure, common feature and differentia that construction structure, component of comparison clause, and component of comparison result show are analyzed centering around "比" character and "-보다" phrase, and contrast analysis for each negation form is made. In inferior comparison strucutre, common feature and differentia that construction structure, component of comparison clause and component of comparison result have about "不如" character and "-보다/만 못하다" and "没有" charncter and "-만큼 ∼지 못하다/않다", and discussion is made by contrasting affirmative form at the same time. In superlative comparison structure, common feature and differentia that construction structure, component of comparison clause, and component of comparison result show are analyzed about "最" character and "가장[/제일]" phrase, and contrast analysis for negation form is made at the same time.
4. In conclusion, contents examined in main discourse is generalized wholly, and points at issues of thesis and later study subject are mentioned.
