The purpose of this study is to provide practical listening skills to Korean learners as well as to establish a proper listening education system. A main goal of learning foreign language is to communicate with the other people using proper words, tones, voice levels, accents. Nowadays, most language institute and education system focus on the ways of communication. In the communication process, there are four main categories such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. However, listening category is overlooking by learners and teachers because it is difficult to check and also people have different achievement and improvement in listening skills. People only think listening skills are useful to support speaking levels. Moreover, there are not enough listening educational textbook for learners in Korean education because most textbook uses situations that are too formal or old fashioned. This is the main reason of writing this to provide a different way of improving listening skills.

First of all, all situations and events that used in this are frequently occurred in most of Korean education systems and institutes. Thus, this focuses on the problems and reactions by examining current Korean study books and study guide for learners. Second of all, a rationale of this study is to assist Korean learners in order to improve their listening skills with examples of real life situations. This will help learners to experience many different situations in different communication levels. In chapter one, the explains the purpose and goals of the study. Furthermore, it will exam current Korean education system, booklets, and textbooks to recognize the needs of this study. The also will analyze published studies in the same field to categorize the studies. In chapter two, the mainly focuses on a theory of practical listening skills. By doing this, this study will set a standard of listening skills in real time communication situations. In chapter three, to recognize problems of current education system, the analyses several intermediate level of current Korean educational textbooks. This analysis will provide a new standard of learning system as well as feedbacks to back up current Korean education systems and booklets. In the following chapter, the standard of analysis and the results, which are mentioned in chapter three, are provided to establish a proper practical listening education system. Lastly, in chapter five include a conclusion of this . It will provide a direction of listening education system to assist Korean learners and teachers.
