The objective of this is to suggest the development method of korean reading text which could help the improvement of Discourse competence for a beginner who is learning korean.
This research analyzed how the characteristic and pattern of Discourse competence is applied in the beginner text of learning korean and suggested the guideline for the development of the korean reading text which has been pass over. Furthermore this research takes account of the development plan which provide not only the verity and structure of Discourse but also the education of Discourse cover.
Although this research has the limitation because it is not applied to the field education, it is valuable to study Discourse ability and korean reading text which have been overlooked.
