This thesis aims to two of objects that researches on suffix '-jeok' that is actively used in Korean. The first aim is to study '-jeok''s perspective in Korean, Chinese, Japanese. Secondly, I would like to suffix '-jeok''s use and its practice in Korean and that by it, I would like to find our its original character.
For the first aim, this research comes from Chinese suffix '-jeok' that is originated from '-底', '-地' in Tang-Song dynasty. I would like to deeply research traditional Chinese suffix '-jeok' has applied to pre-modern Korean by Meiji Japanese in form, historical, meaningful character perspective. As a result, this shows that traditional Chinese '-jeok' has various preceding beginning of a word that used as pre-noun word, adverb character in substantive structure, inflected word and it has same meaning to '-의, -ㄹ, -ㄴ', '-임, -인‘, or adverb ending of word '-게, -이'.
Therefore, traditional '-jeok' can be used in adverb word, inflected word in sentence by influence of Korean '-jeok' and Korean '-jeok' is classified in this category.
In addition, Modern Japanese '-jeok''s studying that is used in Japanese, Korean, translation use word, '-jeok' that is made in Japanese newly has historical, meaningful character. For studying of Modem Japanese word '-jeok''s translation-use word, I use three of hypothesis for it. First,Modem Japanese '-jeok' is all translation use '-jeok' and in the second, Modern Japanese '-jeok' that had been changed by traditional Chinese '-jeok''s entrance into Japanese. Third, if modern Japanese ‘-的‘ had been shown by translation word '-jeok' and traditional Chinese '-jeok’‘s mixing, it has relation with Korean '-jeok' and I explain its relation in three languages.
In the second aim, I study quantitative method to 〈Sejong plan〉's words and its object is published material in 2000 - 2003. As a result, this thesis shows the ending word '-jeok' that can be act to beginning word as a use of prenominal word in substantive structure. In addition, '-jeok''s character in this use can be found as a noun.
The ending word '-jeok' in inflected structure that is limited its uses in 'Comparatively, as.. as possible' and these two use can be acted adverb word in structure.
The '-jeok' in inflected structure that has different with '-jeok' in substantive structure that lost productive character and it used very actively in current time that is interesting case and it will followed in next research case.
