Abstract
Korean society has been changed from the homogeneous ethnic and the unified culture society to the new multicultural society. As a new member of society, the multicultural family increases. The child of Multicultural family is who is born in the marriage between Korean man and foreign woman. Many problems are occurred as the new members of society have increased. Korean Education emphasizes collectivity more than individual diversity, and we can figure it out on the classwork. There are many reasons; the social climate, the condition of school, and so on, to conduct Korean education undifferentiated, but one of the main reasons is teaching method.
In this thesis, after seeing the policy on the multiculture education of the so called advanced country, the curriculum and the contents range of Korean elementary school will be focused on. Through the teaching method analysis theory and the teaching method analysis standard, two existing teaching methods are analyzed. In the external organization, the composition of chapters, the illustrated pictures, and the general structure are looked into. And in the contents range, four parts are classified as subject matter, vocabulary, culture, and exercise. Four teaching method development plan are suggested by analyzing the teaching method.
First, the number of chapter has to be composed properly when the teaching method is designed.
Second, Various subject matters and exercises are needed for stimulating the motive and the interest of learner.
Third, Minimum vocabularies to communicate are selected with regarding the child’s intellectual level.
Fourth, Relationship between child and mother of multicultural family has to be built up.
Through it, a model of new teaching method is made. However, the limitation is what merely a model of a chapter is suggested. Therefore, it is expected to give a help to the children in the multicultural familiesthat the real teaching method for building communication ability and for learning Korean language with foreign mother.
