This study is an empirical study on effect that the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation which hotel employees has on service innovation behavior. Higher the level of environmental dynamism, more likely the corporation will face the uncertain situation without clear standard to assess alternative(Venkatraman, 1989). Therefore, in nowadays corporation environment with high environmental dynamism, exploration innovation with the purpose of long term progress through development of new capability and exploitation innovation with the purpose of short term progress through reassignment of existing capability and expansion are through to be important factors for sustainable growth by securing competitive dominance. Also, based on the level of perception of employees on ambidexterity innovation, the quality of service provided to customers will be enhanced and will pursue the higher performance of the company; such are proclaimed in existing preceding studies. For the hotel corporations to pursue persistent competitive predominance, it must accompany service innovation behavior; in the perspective of service industry centered perspective, service innovation behavior will provide new value to customer and define process of interaction. As a characteristic of service product, the product provided to the customer must have medium and is considered an important role of human resources. In other words, the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation of hotel employee is considered to have important influence on performing service innovation behavior. In the relationship between group and individual, the employee with high sense of unity has high degree of loyalty and tend to contribute to the development of group and show behaviors to develop it(Mowday et al.,1982; Allen & Meyer, 1996; Meyer et al., 2002). In the same sense, preceding studies explain the relationship between organizational commitment and innovative behaviors. In longitudinal study of Amabile et al.(2005), the causal relationship between positive attitude of employee toward group and innovative behaviors are explained; Song Woon-suk & Kim Yong-Bin(2010) claimed that there is a positive relationship between organizational commitment of employees and innovative behaviors. Frank(1993) claimed that organizational commitment can be a variable to predict variables of group civil behaviors, rate of absenteeism, and innovative behaviors. Park Kook-Heum(2008) suggested in his study that organizational commitment of employees lead to high tendency of identifying self with group and are more likely to pursue innovation behavior as the development of group is development of self. Also, Kim Hee-jin(2007) suggested that employees with high degree of organizational commitment will have more attachment toward innovative goal that group has and will be more likely to pursue innovative behaviors. Therefore, employees with high level of perception toward ambidexterity innovation are predicted to have positive influence on service innovation behavior through organizational commitment; such means that when group members are taking efforts to perform more than what the group officially demand, the level of activity will grow; the statistically significant influence that organizational commitment has on innovative behaviors can be predicted by the results of preceding researches. Tushman & O’Reilly(1996), Adler, Goldoftas & Levine(1999), Birkinshaw & Gibson(2004), He & Wong(2004), and Lubatkin, Simsek, Ling & Veiga(2006) claimed that as a result of empirical analysis of multinational companies, companies which perform ambidexterity innovation at the same time brings more excellent corporation performance compared to those which aren’t. Also, professor Charles O’reilly, a Stanford business school professor and a guru of innovative research, claimed that in the field where many entrepreneurs has succeeded will have success syndrome which refuse innovation and get insensitive toward changes in external environment and tune the group with culture and process. To solve such success syndrome, the company should be prepared for utilization innovation and future to persist existing business and exploration innovation to discover new market; such efforts can continue the growth of the company. Therefore, this study set the following subject of inquiry for the empirical study regarding the influence that the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation of hotel employees has on service innovation based on the subjective awareness. First, does the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation has positive influence on organizational commitment? Second, does organizational commitment has positive influence on service innovation behavior? Third, in the relationship between level of perception of ambidexterity innovation and organizational commitment , does the environmental dynamism has mediative effect? For the empirical study, 5 companies among domestic hotel companies were selected; for the investigation tool, IBM SPSS Statistics version 22 which is a statistical package, was used to analyze and the statistical significance was set at 5%(a=.05). The research result of empirical analysis can be summarized as the following. First, the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation showed positive influence on organizational commitment . Second, the affective commitment and normative immersion showed positive influence on service innovation behavior; continuance commitment did not show statistically significant influence on service innovation behavior. Third, the influence the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation has on continuance commitment and normative commitment showed mediation by environmental dynamism; the influence the level of perception of ambidexterity innovation has on affective commitment did not show mediation by environmental dynamism. Also, through further analysis, we tried to analyze the average difference among research variable depending on whether level of perception of ambidexterity innovation is high or not. As a result of independent T-test, every variables showed that with higher level of perception of ambidexterity innovation, it showed higher average value. This study is significant as it provided theoretical proof and practical implications for the development of service innovation behavior that can interact with customers based on efficient management of human resources and organizational commitment through the study on ambidexterity innovation that hasn’t been performed in hotel companies.
