스티브 스미스(Steve Smith)는 퓨전(Fusion), 록(Rock), 펑크(Funk), 팝(Pop), 라틴(Latin) 등 여러 장르에서 드러머 겸 프로듀서로 활동하고 있다. 그는 자신의 밴드인 바이탈 인포메이션에서 다양한 음악... 스티브 스미스(Steve Smith)는 퓨전(Fusion), 록(Rock), 펑크(Funk), 팝(Pop), 라틴(Latin) 등 여러 장르에서 드러머 겸 프로듀서로 활동하고 있다. 그는 자신의 밴드인 바이탈 인포메이션에서 다양한 음악적 시도를 하였으며, 편곡에도 장르적 리듬을 이용하였다. 이러한 장르적 리듬을 이용한 편곡 외에도, 곡의 내용(Story)을 연주로 표현하기 위해 폴리리듬을 이용한 드럼연주 기법을 곡에 활용하여 긴장과 이완을 표현하였다. 본 논문은 서론, 본론, 결론으로 이루어져 있으며, 서론에서는 이 논문의 연구목적, 연구 범위와 방법에 대하여 서술하였다. 본론은 폴리리드믹 드럼연주 기법에 대하여 소개하고, 스티브 스미스의 폴리리드믹 드럼연주 기법을 연구하기 위해 그의 밴드인 바이탈 인포메이션의 곡들 중에서 폴리리듬믹 드럼연주 기법이 돋보이는 곡들을 선정하여 드럼 리듬을 중심으로 분석하였다. 선정된 곡들은 ‘Dr. Demento’, ‘First Thing This Morning’, ‘Craniac trilogy-Part 2-The Extraction’, ‘Carnial Meltdown: Dementia’ 총 4곡이다. 이 곡들을 분석하고 연구한 내용을 재해석곡인 레드 제플린(Led Zeppelin) - ‘Moby Dick’, 데이브 브루벡(Dave Brubeck) - ‘Take Five’, 영화《007》의 ‘제임스 본드 테마’(James Bond Theme), 더 메터스(The Meters) - ‘Cissy Strut’에 적용하고, 자작곡인 ‘Whatever’에는 분석된 내용을 응용하여 본인이 작곡과 편곡하였다. 스티브 스미스의 폴리리드믹 드럼연주 기법을 분석함에 있어서 그의 앨범에 수록된 곡들로 연구 범위를 제한하였고 분석된 연주 기법 특징을 중심으로 폴리리듬을 이용한 템포변화와 리듬변화에 대한 연구 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 특징들을 다른 장르 리듬에 적용하는 연구, 솔로 연주에 대한 적용 연구 등 후속 연구들이 지속적으로 이루어졌으면 하는 바람이다.

He has tried (experimented with) a variety of music from his band called Vital Information and used various rhythmic genres in other music arrangements. In addition to these arrangements using rhythm genres, Steve used a poly-rhythm drumming technique to express the content of a song (Story). He leveraged the drum in the song to express tension and relaxation. This research consists of an introduction, body and conclusion. The purpose and scope of the research is described in the introduction. The body of the research focuses on introducing the poly-rhythmic drumming technique. In order to study Steve’s poly-rhythmic drumming technique, a compelling selection of songs that utilizes the drumming technique was selected from his band called the Vital Information and used for analysis. A total of four songs were selected which are ‘Dr. Demento’, ‘First Thing This Morning’, ‘Craniac trilogy-Part 2-The Extraction’, and ‘Carnial Meltdown: Dementia’. After completion of the analysis, the study was applied to the newly interpreted songs such as in Led Zeppelin - ‘Moby Dick’, Dave Brubeck - ‘Take Five’, James Bond Theme, and The Meters - ‘Cissy Strut’. In addition, Steve has re-composed and has arranged music from his self-written single song called ‘Whatever’. The scope of the research on the analysis of Steve Smith’s poly-rhythmic drumming technique has been limited to the songs in his albums. The study of the changes in the tempo and rhythm was obtained based on the analysis of the poly-rhythmic drumming technique used in concerts. In conclusion, the researcher hopes that follow-up studies can be made based on the derived features found from this study, for application in other rhythm genres and solo concerts. ，韩语毕业论文，韩语论文题目 |
