Recently, because of the trend that functions of the multi complex commercial such as consume, food & drink, entertainment facilities are composited malling is becoming life style. Since the 2000s, the development of multi complex commercial is booming and some department sores are changing to multi complex commercial within the country. The purpose of the study is research about circulation plan of multi complex commercial buildings for activation of consumers by quantitative analyzing and evaluating the circulation of multi complex commercial. Multi complex commercial composited by diverse facilities functions like small city. Therefore, the space plan making user flow smoothly is necessary for activation of the facility. Especially, the circulation plan is very important because it function as passage of user and arouse the purchase activities. However, the circulation is planed by designers qualitative inspiration because it is difficult to understand the user flow objectively because the circulation of multi complex commercial has longer passage length and is more complicate than the singular usage facility. Therefore, quantitative evaluating circulation system and understanding characteristic of activation by user flow in this study. Analyzing method of almost studies about the circulation planning of the multi complex commercial is evaluating examples of the facilities and analyzing scope includes qualitative indicator such as spae of facility, tenant composition, arrangement, design. In this study, the characteristic of circulation system planning and quantitative index of evaluation are deducted by theoretical consideration. Using this index, analyze the characteristic of circulation planning for ‘Lotte world mall’ what is the biggest multi complex commercial facility and opened most recently and ‘Time square’ what is the first example of multi complex commercial development. After that, analyze the user flow quantity and circulation network of example facilities. From this analysis, following conclusions are deducted. Firstly, following conclusions are deducted by analyzing quantity of user circulation. The quantity of user circulation is concentrated at the gate connected to subway station. In addition, planning outside square at the gate space is important to form a quantity of user circulation. Therefore, It is necessary that adjusting area and planning distributed arrangement of outside space for prevent the excessively concentrated users and deactivated spaces. Secondly, there is larger quantity of user circulation in access floors than in upper floors. In addition, the central axis of user circulation is deducted at the passage connecting the gate that is connected to transportation and the main central space. Therefore, it is necessary that planning optimal density of user flow at the passage by forecasting the central axis of user circulation with arranging the gate connected transportation and main central space. Deducted characteristics of planning horizontal circulation that arouse concentrated user flow are less turn, longer straight length. Therefore, the simply planning passage is necessary to arouse larger quantity of user circulation. Thirdly, Larger quantity of user circulation is dedected at the opened vertical circulation planned in central space that is planned vertically open. Therefore, it is necessary that planning openly at the vertical circulation that need to form larger user circulation. Deducted characteristics of planning vertical circulation that arouse concentrated user flow are planning the high-speed escalator or the escalator connected like stair than the crossover escalator and harmonizing direction of horizontal and vertical circulation. Forthly, following conclusion is deducted that the concentrated user flow is formed at the circulation planned facility selling fodd and drink by analyzing relation of the user flow and the usage composition. Especially, the effect of planning facility selling food and drink at the key-tenant on forming larger user flow is important. In addition, planning facility selling food and drink by multi unit form larger user flow than planning single unit. Fifthly, the similarity between the user traffic distribution deducted by analysis of traffic in purpose circulation and the invastigated user traffic distribution is deducted by UNA(Urban work Analysis) simulation. The conclusion that planning circulation of anchor tenant is affect to distribution of user traffic in multi complex commercial facility by the analysis.
