The ways of expressing clothing life terms in Korean and Chinese are different. In Korean, the terms related to clothing life are expressed in foreign words, while in Chinese these terms are expressed in native words. Some terms don’t exist in Chinese, so it will be difficult for Chinese-speaking learners to decode the meaning. Accordingly, it is common that difficulties occur often in communication. In addition, there are not many studies about clothing life related terms and the studies about clothing life related term for Chinese-speaking learners are much rare. With this point in view, this study reviewed the Korean textbooks focusing on clothing life related Korean terms and made up for the insufficient parts. Furthermore, after figuring out the similarities and differences of clothing related Korean and Chinese terms in the aspect of meaning and culture, this study drew up a learning vocabulary list of basic clothing words and proposed appropriate educational methods for clothing life related terms.
In Chapter 2, the range of clothing life related terms was specified. After the vocabulary classification was reviewed, the range of clothing life related terms in this study was determined. Moreover, the condition of clothing life appearing in the Korean textbooks and TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) was examined. It is pointed out that the clothing terms in the Korean textbooks and TOPIK lack of variety and that the terms that are commonly used in daily life couldn’t be found in the textbooks and the test.
In Chapter 3, in terms of proverbs related to formal suits, casual clothes, the color terms of clothes, the pattern terms of clothes, the material terms of clothes and accessory types, the differences and similarities in Korean and Chinese meaning and culture were compared and analyzed.
In Chapter 4, with the use of the analysis results above, the learning vocabulary list of basic clothing words was brought forward and the educational methods of clothing life related terms are proposed.
This study presented the Korean and Chinese translation for the comparison and analysis contents according to topics of clothing life related terms, after the condition of clothing life appearing in the Korean textbooks and TOPIK was examined. In addition, the learning vocabulary list of basic clothing words was composed. It is expected that when the learners want to use terms that are commonly used in daily life and terms that are needed for personal use, the Korean-Chinese learning vocabulary list of basic clothing words which were analyzed by topics can be helpful for clothing words learning.

중·한 의생활 용어는 표현하는 방식이 다른데, 한국어의 경우에는 의생활 관련 용어를 외래어로 많이 표현하는 반면 중국어는 중국어 고유어로 표현할 뿐만 아니라 어떤 표현들은 중국어에 없기도 하여 학습자들이 의미파악에 곤란함을 겪기도 한다. 이로 인하여 의사소통할 때 어려움이 종종 발생한다. 또한 의생활 관련 용어에 대한 연구들이 많지 않고 중국인을 위한 의생활 관련 용어의 연구는 더욱 드물다. 이를 고려하여 이 연구는 중국인 학습자를 위해서 한국의 의생활 관련 용어에 대해서 한국어 교재에 나타난 양상을 살펴보고 그의 모자란 부분을 보완하고 중·한 의생활 관련 용어의 의미와 문화상에 공통점과 차이점을 살펴본 후에 의생활 학습용 기본 어휘 목록을 작성하여 적절한 의생활 관련 용어의 교육 방안을 제시하였다.
제2장에서는 의생활 관련 용어의 범위를 명시하고 있는 어휘의 분류 내용을 살펴본 후에 이 연구의 의생활 관련 용어의 범위를 정했다. 그 다음은 한국어 교재와 한국어능력시험에 나타난 의생활의 양상을 살펴보았다. 한국어교재와 한국어능력시험에 나오는 의생활 용어들의 종류가 다양하지 않고 일상생활에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 용어들은 찾을 수 없다는 것을 지적하였다.
제3장에서는 의례복, 평상복, 옷 색상 용어, 옷 무늬 용어, 옷 소재 용어, 장신구의 종류, 의생활 관련 속담에 대해서 중·한 의미와 문화적인 공통점과 차이점을 비교 분석하였다.
제4장에서는 앞에 분석한 결과를 이용해서 중국인 학습자를 위해서 의생활 학습용 기본 어휘 목록을 작성하였고 또한 의생활 관련 용어의 교육방안을 마련하였다.
이 연구는 한국어교재와 한국어능력시험에 나타난 의생활 관련 용어의 양상을 살펴본 후에, 중·한 의생활 관련 용어들을 주제별로 비교 분석한 내용들을 한국어와 중국어 번역을 같이 제시하였다. 또한 중국인 학습자를 위한 의생활 학습용 기본 어휘 목록을 작성하였다. 일상생활에서 자주 사용하고 있는 용어들뿐만 아니라 자기가 원하는 단어를 사용하고 싶을 때 이 연구에서 주제 별로 분석해 놓은 한·중 의생활 관련 용어 목록들이 학습에 도움 되기를 바란다.
