This thesis named "The study on the localization of Chinese loanwords in the new age", which mainly studies the process of loanwords introduce into modern Chinese system in the new age (viz. after the reform and open in 1978); As well as some new changes which moden Chinese oneself appears are influenced by loanwords.
Chapter one is the preface. It introduces the reasons for wrting this article, the current situation of Chinese loanwords, the predecessor's substantial achievement, and content and method of the research.
Chapter two is the outline of "loanwords". We compare the argument about the range of loanwords in academic area, combine the concept of loanwords, and research the terminology usage that related to the "loanwords" to confirm the range of loanwords study. In addition, by observing the changes of loanwords such aspects as the sources of words, the concepts of words, and the methods of borrowing them to summarize the borrowing process reflects the various cultural psychology.
Chapter three mainly introduces the process of the loanwords' localizations. It includes the four aspects: the localization of the pronunciation, the localization of the characters, the localization of signification and the localization of grammar. And it tries to analyze the various factors which restrict the localization.
Chapter four discusses some new changes which moden Chinese oneself appears are influenced by loanwords. We discuss them by four ascept such as pronunciation system, written system, vocabulary system and grammar system. The loanwords not only expand the Chinese vocabulary and enlarge the acceptation system, but also play an importation role in producing the disyllabic or polysyllabic word of Chinese vocabulary and developing word-building.
Chapter five is the objective and rational understanding Chinese loanwords. We choose the suitable translation method, pay attention to the standardization and the necessity, diversity and the contemporary of loanword relation, and adopt the tolerant attitude to actively guide and manage the loanword.
