본 논문은 언어준교육 기관으로서의 방송이 우리말 오염에 심각한 원인을 제공하고 있다고 판단, 방송 프로그램내의 실제 오염된 언어실태를 조사·분석하고 이에 개선책을 제시해 줌으로써 청소년을 비롯, 시청자에게 올바른 국어생활을 선도하여, 모국어에 대한 애정을 심어주고 나아가 열린 교육장으로서 방송의 위상을 한층 더 높이는데 그 목적을 두었다.
본론에서 다루어진 내용들을 간략하게 요약하면 다음과 같다.
제2장에서는 방송 언어의 개념, 특성, 연구사 등 이론적인 면을 고찰하였다. 방송 언어란 정기적 또는 비정기적으로 출연하는 방송인들이 구사하는 언어로서 방송 언어 기준에 맞는 규범어 즉, 표준어를 말하고, 이에 순정성, 공식성, 공정성, 세련성, 용이성 등의 속성을 지니게 된다. 방송 언어의 연구는 1930년대를 시작으로 현재까지 여러 기관이나 모임, 또는 개인별 주제별로 활발한 연구실적을 보이고 있다.
제3장·제4장에서는 드라마와 연예·오락 프로그램 출연자의 언어문제를 발음, 어휘, 문법, 의미·화용, 몸말·사물 언어 부문으로 나누어 조사하고 그 원인을 분석하였다.
발음에는 움라우트, 연음법칙, 단모음화, 상승모음화, 경음 및 격음화 현상, 더듬거나 그릇된 억양 등이, 어휘에는 은어, 비속어, 외래어, 유행어, 비표준어 등이 해당된다. 문법에는 문장성분의 호응관계, 시제의 불일치, 잘못된 대우법 등을 포함시켰고, 의미·화용에는 명예훼손, 선정적 표현, 품위없는 말 등을, 그리고 몸말·사물 언어에는 선정적 행위와 폭력적 행위, 혐오감을 주는 비예절적 행위 등을 포함시켰다. 상당수의 방송 출연자들이 언어사용에 많은 문제점을 드러내는 것은 초·중·고 각급 학교에서의 제대로 된 언어교육을 받지 않았거나, 국어를 바르게 표현하려는 의식이 결여되어 있거나, 잘못 형성된 언어습관에서 기인한다.
마지막 제5장에서는 방송 언어가 청소년에게 끼치는 영향과 그 개선방안을 모색하였다.
방송 언어는 교육적 측면에서 청소년의 언어관 확립에 결정적 역할을 한다. 또한 방송 언어는 청소년의 정서발달과 의식구조, 사고방식에도 중요한 영향을 끼치므로 역기능을 초래하지 않도록 유의해야 한다. 방송 출연자의 언어 사용상의 문제점을 개선하려면 학교에서의 국어교육 강화, 교육부의 강력한 교육정책, 방송국 자체내의 표준화를 위한 노력, 방송위원회의 정책강화, 출연자들의 자각적인 의지 등이 필요하리라 본다.

The purpose of this work is to more improve the position of Broadcasting as open vice-educational institution : to lead right language life to teenager and televiewer and to have affection on korean to there.
In my judgement, Broadcasting is offering serious cause at korean pollution. Upon this, I analyzed the in practice polluted language in broadcasting program and will offer it's new amelioration method.
The organization of this dissertation is as follows.
In Chapter 2 I considerated conception, character, previous study-history of broadcasting language.
In Chapter 3, Chapter 4 I investigated the language problem of drama and entertainment program performer : I devided in this part pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, meaning, bogy language. and I analyzed it's cause. Pronuciation includes umlaut, simple vowelize, ascent vowelize, intonation etc. Vocabulary includes argot, slang, loan word, a cant expression, dialect etc. Grammar includes concord concern of a sentence component, disagreement of the tense, an wrong honorific. Meaning includes defamation, sensational expression. Body language includes sensational behavior, violent behavior, behavior on breach of propriety.
Having many problem in language use of TV performer is caused by they are not receive right language education in school. or they are lacking in consciousness for rigtly express korean. or wrong formed language habit.
In Chapter 5 I introduced the broadcast language have a what influence to teenagers and it's new amelioration method. broadcasting language have a influence language-establishment of teenager in educational standpoint. Also broadcasting language have an important influence emotion growth, and consciousness structure, thinking method. Therefore broadcasting must be careful not to bring on opposite function.
To ameliorate problem in language use of TV performer it have need of korean education strengthen of school, strong educaion policy of Ministry of Education, effort for standardzation in a broadcasting station itself, policy strengthen of the Broadcasting self-will of TV performer.
