Training pronunciation for active communication to meet learners' characteristics and to use a target language which is the final target of a training language by becoming more diverse nationalities of learners who are desire to learn Korean. But the study of pronunciation is limited to the English, Japanese, and Chinese-speaking countries. Especially, number of leaners in Vietnamese-speaking countries are large second only to China, it is also expected that number of married immigrant women to be learn Korea in Vietnamese-speaking countries which is significant in the next. Therefore, this study find how aspect to recognize and to pronounce clear plosive with bundle of correlation of 3 section in Korean obstruent for targeting learners in Vietnamese-speaking countries who oppose to 2 section of 'voiced sound: voiceless sound', and is aim to be utilized as the base materials of pronunciation for learners in Vietnamese-speaking countries. At first, it introduces aims, matters, and methods of the study, reviews literatures for training of pronunciation for targeting Vietnamese studying Korean. Especially, the following 4 hypotheses are suggested as matters of the study. First, It may be the difference of aspects to recognize and to pronounce between beginners and intermediates of Vietnamese studying Korean. Second, it may be the high rate of errors that the distintion between lax consonants and tense consonants in plosives-type is rather than the distintion of aspirated consonants. Third, it isn't difficult to recognize and to pronounce lax consonants of medial and initial sound. Forth, if married immigrant women in Vietnamese-speaking countries who pronounce Korean plosives very well, it can also recognize it very well. In Chapter 2, it suggests the discussion on recognition and pronunciation for auditory phonetics and second language acquisition which is experimental methods for phonetics. Then, it is used to analyze causes like error aspects shown if leaners in Vietnamese-speaking countries recognize and pronounce Korean contrasting to the consonant system for Korean and Vietnamese. In Chapter 3, it investigates aspects to recognize and to pronounce consonants of plosive-type for targeting married immigrant women in Vietnamese-speaking countries who has stayed in Korea currently. The recognizing test is to look a course that the elementary and the intermediate level from Vietnamese studying Korean are how to recognize them according to its position for consonants of plosive-type after listening a word of 2 syllables pronounced by a person is Korean of the mother tongue. In the same with the recognizing test, the pronouncing test is to investigate a course that how to pronounce suggesting sounds of plosive-type from initial and medial of a word after the pronouncing evaluation group listens a word of 2 syllables pronounced by the elementary level and the intermediate level from Vietnamese studying Korean. In Chapter 4 based on these results, it is verified hypotheses by results comparing and contrasting to Korean and Vietnamese and a theory of second language acquisition. Its summaries for facts verified are as follows; First, the group of intermediate subjects are shown a little high for a percentage of correct answers in recognition from results comparing and contrasting to recognition and pronunciation of subject groups of the elementary and the intermediate level, but 2 groups are significant shown the difference for pronunciation. Second, the pronouncing test is high trend to pronounce as tense consonants if lax consonants and tense consonants is suggested as suggesting sounds. But it is show characteristics that the recognizing test is the high rate to recognize as lax consonants and tense consonants if suggesting sounds is tense consonants, and to recognize as tense consonants if suggesting sounds consonants. It is known that Vietnamese studying Korean have a great of errors for lax consonants and tense consonants. Third, lax consonants of Korean consonant are realized to voiced sound between voiced sound and voice sound, but it is shown that the percentage of correct answers is low for recognition and pronunciation as a whole in lax consonants without position for initial and medial of a word by testing results. Forth, it is verified by testing that learners in Vietnamese-speaking countries have consonants which is the high rate of pronunciation and the low rate of recognition, otherwise Flege(1992)'s opinions. This study finds hhow aspect to recognize and to pronounce clear plosive with bundle of correlation of 3 section in Korean obstruent for the group of Vietnamese studying Korean classified by the learning period, is aim to be utilized as the base materials of training pronunciation for Vietnamese studying Korean. it is believed that it will be the better training pronunciation if the training pronunciation is conducted for targeting married immigrant women in Vietnamese-speaking countries who are increasing its numbers gradually by above results based on hypotheses.
