Thirdly, the strong correlation between children and their mother was observed in the applicability of phonological rules within the multicultural family. Fourthly, Phonological rules errors were produced nasalization of obstruent, nasalization of obstruent / nasalization of liquid and nasalization of liquid in order in mothers from Japan and nasalization of obstruent / nasalization of liquid, liquid, nasalization of obstruent in order in mothers from Philippine.
The results from this study suggest that the phonological awareness and the applicability of phonological rules of multicultural family‘s children are different according to the countries of mother.
