Ekuni Kaori is one of the modern Japanese representative woman writers. Her unique, sensitive and refined her works style results in supported a large number of Japanese and Korean supporters. In addition, Gong Ji Young is an one of the 386th generationwriters and her syndrome affected the Korea society. Both writers made collaboration novels which are called ‘Between Calm and Passion’ and ‘Things That Come After Love’ with Tsuji Hitonari. Those were written by the man and woman writers with each from the situation and emotion and those were published as two independent novels. Especially, ‘Things That Come after Love’ was written as a commemorative product of "the years of the Japan-Korea friendship" in 2005.
Those collaboration novels made a new challenge of modern Japanese and Korean literature. It was much different that a woman writer creates a novel alone. The story which was written by man and woman writers made a possibility of feeling the each writerpersonal situation, emotion and love in the story. Also the writer pointed out that the collaboration works enlarged their new field of vision and were able to be strongly aware of growing themselves.
By focusing on the story setting of the emotional rolling of the chief characters along the time flow, their feeling with progress of time was calmed on the beginning stage. However that was changed into a passionate dramatically by letter from Junsei in ‘Between Calm and Passion’. On the other hand, that was always moved intensely in ‘Things That Come After Love’
In the family relations, the main character put herself upon mother and communicated with a old woman who called Federica of non-family member as a real her family in ‘Between Calm and Passion’. However, it showed a strong family relationship by giving huge influence to her by the father who had same circumstances of international marriage with Japanese of main character in ‘Things That Come After Love’.
Though both novels which were collaboration with Tsuji Hitonari, male chief character was proactive and had strong curiosity in ‘Between Calm and Passion’. However he was written differently of that as a man who behaved himself actively for escaping from loneliness in ‘Things That Come After Love’. In the addition, in way of separating between boyfriend and girlfriend, he told her in ‘Between Calm and Passion’ and she told him in ‘Things That Come After Love’. This shows that different behavior of maleand female and way to separating.
Secondly, there were some differences of expressions between two novels. For showing visual expression, the white color was the negative symbol in the ‘Between Calm and Passion’. However, it was shown as the positive symbol in the ‘Things That Come After Love’.
For showing audible expression, it was written way to call the character names carefully of the ‘Things That Come After Love’. Also Gong Ji Young pointed out this expression other novels as well. Nevertheless, for the expression of the sense of smell, there were wider spatial senses of ‘Between Calm and Passion’ than the others.
Finally, in psychological love expression of main character, the girlfriend kept the equal relations with her boyfriend and jealous with his strong desire of the item. The experience of separating with him results that she made herself into cautious behavior person in ‘Between Calm and Passion’. It was emphasis strong her love into him and jealous with other women who were around of her boyfriend. Also the pain of the heart breaking by separating with him was strong. It was easy to understand that by herunconsciousness expression in the ‘Things That Come After Love’,
There was considered the field of Japanese and Korean collaboration works by comparing both novels. The future research will be sense expression of the five senses by comparing other novels which were written by those writers with other modern Japanese and Korean literatures.
