최근 컨테이너는 주거, 상업 공간, 도시 재생을 넘어 상생ㆍ혁신의 아이콘으로 부상하고 있다. 컨테이너 건축물의 용도가 점점 다양해지고 있는 가운데, 컨테이너 건축물의 장점인 공기단축... 최근 컨테이너는 주거, 상업 공간, 도시 재생을 넘어 상생ㆍ혁신의 아이콘으로 부상하고 있다. 컨테이너 건축물의 용도가 점점 다양해지고 있는 가운데, 컨테이너 건축물의 장점인 공기단축, 해체용이, 유닛의 다양함 등을 이용하여 하나의 사이트를 선정하고 그곳의 문제점을 컨테이너 건축으로 풀고자 한다. 21C 현대인은 정체된 삶이 아닌 끊임없는 변화하는 삶의 방식으로 변화되고 있다. 오래도록 머물 수 있는 공간이기 보다는 급속도로 변화돼는 문화를 받아들일 수 있는 공간을 요구한다. 이러한 해결책으로 자연을 보존하면서도 재활용 될 수 있는 재료로서 컨테이너를 재활용한 복합문화공간을 제안하고자 한다. 본 연구는 철거대상이지만 산업유산의 보존가치가 있는 문래 예술촌의 활성화 방법 대안으로 문래근린공원에 복합문화공간을 제안하고자 한다. 산업혁명 후 형성된 국, 내외 중공업 지역은 다시 변화에 직면하게 되었다. 제조업 쇠퇴와 함께 기존의 산업시설은 더 이상 원래의 기능을 다할 수 없게 되었다. 이러한 세월의 변화로 낙후된 지역을 새롭게 변화시켜 결과적으로 지역을 활성화하고자 하는 변화가 발생하고 있는 시점이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 문래 예술촌의 형성 배경과 문래근린공원에 대한 현황 조사, 분석을 통해 문래 예술촌을 찾는 방문객들과 예술촌의 예술인들을 위한 프로그램을 제안하고자 한다. 또한 철공소라는 특이점과 컨테이너 유닛을 이용하여 공간에 적용시키고자 한다. 본 연구를 진행함에 있어 컨테이너에 대한 기본적인 조사와 복합문화공간에 대한 이해를 바탕으로 문래 예술촌의 현황과 주변 상권 등을 파악하고, 문래 예술촌이 직면한 문제들을 문래근린공원의 가설건물인 컨테이너 건축물로 풀고자 한다. 앞 선 이론들과 자료들을 토대로 설계 계획을 진행하고 문래동 방문객들과 문래 예술촌의 예술인, 문래근린공원의 거주민들을 위한 다양한 공간들을 제공하여 문래 철공소의 예술인들의 예술 활동을 지속될 수 있는 계기가 되기를 바란다.
