특허정보는 어느 분야에서나 새로운 기술, 핵심기술을 국내 및 국제적으로 공포해서 기술에 대해 선점하고 연구하는데 많은 도움이 되는 중요한 정보이다.
특허정보들을 일반 인터넷 포털사이트에서 검색을 할 경우 특허정보에 관한 뉴스자료만 검색이 되며, 특허정보만을 제공해주는 검색 사이트에서 검색의 경우 특허정보의 내용이 일정 분야의 전문적인 내용을 서술해 놓은 것이기 때문에 사용자가 내용을 정확히 파악하기 힘들어 검색어 선정의 문제와 선정된 검색어와 검색 연산자를 조합해서 검색을 하는 것이 힘들다. 그리고 각 국가별 명세서의 항목이 조금씩 다른 경우가 있고, 각 검색 서비스를 제공하는 웹 사이트마다의 특허정보를 표현하는 방식이 다르기 때문에 데이터베이스의 구조가 달라 서로 공유나 통합이 힘들다. 그 이유는 검색어의 의미적 모호성, 동의어 및 외래어의 표기에 있어서 다양한 표현을 처리하지 못하기 때문이다.
이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 어떤 리소스에 대해서도 의미적이고 기술적인 정보를 연관시킬 수 있고 서로 다른 형식의 소스정보를 통합, 비교 및 공유를 할 수 있다는 시맨틱 웹의 개념을 도입을 하고자 한다.
본 논문에서는 특허정보의 구조를 파악하여 시맨택 웹을 구현하기 위해 사용되는 메타데이터 언어중 RDF를 이용해 특허정보의 구조를 정의하고 RDF 스키마를 이용해 그 들의 속성 및 클래스의 관계를 정의 했다. 설계한 RDF 스키마의 검증을 위해 RDF 및 RDF 스키마 editor인 Protege를 이용해서 특허정보에 대한 RDF 스키마를 구현하고 RDF 데이터를 구축하였다. 그리고 Protege에서 제공하는 Query 시스템을 이용해 검색하여 특허정보가 검색이 되는 것을 확인했다.

And it provides only the patent information, it is hard that a user accurately grasps a content in the color site because of being in case of a search that the content of the patent information describes the special content of the constant field and the chosen search word and the to assemble and search the retrieval operator. Thing are hard with the problem of the search word selection. And the other case little by little has the item of each country specification. Because the structure of a database is sweet because the mode expressing the patent information of the web site providing each retrieval service is different, the share or the integration is hard. The reason is unable to process the expression which is various as to the semantic ambiguity of the search word, and the notation of the foreign language and equivalent term.
In order to solve this problem, the concept of the semantic web that it can be a semantic about any kind of resource and relate the technical information and integrate the source information of the different format and share with a comparison tries to be introduced.
In this , by using RDF among the used in order to grasp the structure of the patent information and implement the Seaman web meta data language, the structure of the patent information was defined and by using the RDF schema, the attribute of thats and relation of the class were defined. By using protege which is RDF and RDF schema editor for the verification of the RDF schema designed, the RDF schema about the patent information was realized and RDF data was established. And by using the Query system provided by Protege, it searched and confirmed that the patent information is searched.
