한류(韓流)란 한국의 대중문화가 아시아 각국에서 관심을 받으면서 나타난 사회문화 현상이다. 중국을 비롯한 동아시아 국가들에 의해 한국의 가요, TV드라마, 영화 등 한국의 대중문화에 대한 관심도가 증가하면서 생긴 현상을 말한다. 최근 점차적으로 그 범위를 넓혀 기존의 한국대중문화 뿐만 아니라 패션, 음식, 한국어와 한국의 역사에 이르기까지 다양한 부분으로 그 범위를 넓혀가고 있다. 이제 한류는 한국의 대중문화라는 틀을 벗어나 21세기 새로운 문화현상으로 자리 잡아 가고 있다.
지금까지 한류에 관한 많은 연구들은 그것이 가지고 있는 경제적 가치의 극대화와
한류의 한계를 벗어나려는 시도를 추구하였다. 하지만 이러한 모든 원인들의
근본적인 시발점은 무엇이었는지에 대한 연구 논문은 부족한 편이었다.
본 논문에서는 중국과 한국의 문화 교류인 한류(韓流)를 한국의 입장에서 바라보기 이전에 중국이 한류를 어떠한 이유에 의해서 받아들여진 것인지, 문화적 중화주의(中華主義)가 강한 중국사회에 어떻게 외부문화로써 정착하여 활성화 되어질 수 있었는지를 당시 중국사회가 가진 배경을 통하여 알아보고자 한다.
중국이 한류를 수용하면서 보여 지는 선택적 문화수용과 저항 그리고 변용, 주변화의 과정을 거치는 문화수용의 과정을 분석하여 이후 한류의 나아갈 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 또한 한류는 한국사회가 갖고 있는 문화현상을 반영하여 형성되어진 문화임을 알아봄으로써, 중국과 한국 두 국가가 가지고 있는 역사적·사회적 공통점을 찾아 중국사회에서 한류가 수용되어 질 수 밖에 없었던 원인적 결과를 찾고자 하였다.
이제 우리는 한류가 더 넓은 세계로 확산되어지고 기존의 한류 국가들로부터 지속적으로 발전하길 원한다면 한국의 대중문화의 질적인 향상이 지속적으로 추구되어야 한다. 한국 또한 다른 외부의 문화를 수용하고 그것에 대한 저항과 한국적 성격으로의 변화과정을 거쳐 한층 발전된 문화를 생산해 내야 될 것이다.

The Korean wave is a social and cultural phenomenon shown as Korea's pop culture has received the interests from Asian countries. It means the phenomenon caused as the concerns on Korea's pop culture such as Korean pops, TV dramas, movies, etc by the East Asian countries including China have increased. Recently, its scope has been broadened to various parts up to fashion, foods, Korean language and Korean history as well as the existing Korea's pop culture gradually. Now, the Korean wave is becoming as a new cultural phenomenon in the 21th century beyond the framework of Korea's pop culture.
So far, many studies on the Korean wave was to maximize its economic value and to attempt to leave its limits. However, it was insufficient that the research s on what the fundamental starting point of all causes was.
This purpose of the study is to investigate why China accepts the Korean wave before looking the Korean wave that is the cultural exchanges between China and Korea, and how it's fixed and activated as an external culture in Chinese society with strong cultural sinocentrism through the background in Chinese society at that time.
This study was to analyze the process of cultural acceptance through the process of selective cultural acceptance, resistance and transformance, and marginalization shown as China was accepting the Korean wave and then to explore the direction of the Korean wave. In addition, it was to find causal results that the Korean wave had to be accepted in Chinese society by searching for historical and social commonalities that China and Korea have, by examining that the Korean wave was the culture formed with reflecting on cultural phenomena that Kora has.
If we want that the Korean wave has spread to the wider world and developed the countries to accept it continuously, the quality of Korea's pop culture should be pursued constantly. Korea will also accept other external culture and produce further developed culture through the process of its resistance and changes into Korean features.
