The number of Korean language learners has been continuously increasing nowadays. However, it seems that most of Korean language educational institutions focus on communication skills of daily life. Therefore, learners who are studying the Korean language for university education does not have relatively poor education environment.
The academic purposes of Korean language education are divided into understanding lectures, preparation, and presentation. Although there are relatively many precedent studies in understanding lectures and preparation, but not many researches on presentation for academic purposes have been conducted. Thus, in this article, detailedly recognizing the necessity of presentation abilities required for successful university education of Chinese learners, an needs analysis on presentation was conducted for instructors and learners and presentation speeches were analyzed through actual classroom observations. Based on this, this study tried to identify defects and problems of presentation abilities of Chinese learners of the Korean language and establish syllabuses and educational methods that improve the academic presentation abilities.
In Chapter I, the study criticized that there are not many precedent studies on presentation education for academic learners and suggested the necessity and purposes of it. In Chapter Ⅱ, the standards of presentation structures to be used for this article were established by studying the concept of the Korean language for academic purposes, the definition of presentation, and its types and analyzing the presentation structures suggested in the precedent studies as a theoretical background study. In Chapter Ⅲ, a preliminary survey was carried out for this study. An need analysis on presentation was conducted for assessors and learners, presentations of academic learners were observed, and presentation analysis tables and speeches were analyzed. In Chapter Ⅳ, the educational contents of academic presentation were designed. The issues of presentations of learners were identified with collected information, based on this, the objectives and principles of academic presentation education were established, and the educational plans were suggested. Lastly, in Chapter V, the meaning and limitations of this study were suggested by summarizing its contents and the necessity of further studies was mentioned.
This article identified issues of academic Chinese learners by focusing on presentation activities required during their university education and conducting an need analysis and speech analysis through interviews and observations. This study is meaningful since it suggested the detailed contents of educational presentation and educational plans applicable to undergraduate studies for Chinese learners of the Korea languages based on the fundamental principles including the practicability, interactivity, and linguistic connectivity deducted to improve those issues.

최근에 한국어 학습자가 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 현재 한국어 교육을 담당하고 있는 한국어 교육기관에서는 대부분 일상생활에서의 의사소통을 목적으로 하는 일반 목적의 한국어 교육에 초점을 두고 있는 듯하다. 그러므로 상대적으로 대학에 진학한 학문 목적 한국어 학습자들의 학업 수행 능력을 잘 갖출 수 있도록 교육하는 것은 열세이다.
지금까지 학문 목적 한국어 교육은 주로 강의 수강, 보고서 작성, 그리고 발표 이렇게 세 가지로 분류되고 있는데 강의 수강, 보고서 작성에 관한 선행연구들은 적지 않게 존재하고 있으나 아직 학문 목적 발표에 대한 연구는 많이 이루어지지 않고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 한국 대학에 입학한 중국인 학습자들이 성공적으로 학업을 마치는데 필요한 발표 능력의 필요성을 구체적으로 인식하고, 교수자와 동료 학습자들을 대상으로 발표에 관한 요구 분석을 실시하여 실제 교실 관찰을 통한 발표 담화를 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 중국인 한국어 학습자가 발표 능력에 어떠한 결함과 문제점이 있는지를 밝히고 학문 목적 발표 능력을 향상에 도움이 되는 교수요목과 교육 방법을 마련하고자 한다. 본 연구의 구성은 다음과 같다.
먼저 Ⅰ장에서는 선행연구를 통해 학문 목적 학습자에게 발표 교육에 대한 연구가 많지 않은 것을 비판하고 본 연구의 필요성 및 목적을 제시하였다. Ⅱ장에서는 연구의 이론적인 배경으로써 학문 목적 한국어 개념과 발표의 정의 및 유형에 대한 고찰하고 선행연구에서 제시한 발표 구조를 분석하여 본고에서 사용하고자 하는 발표 구조의 기준을 모색하였다. Ⅲ장은 연구를 위한 기초 조사를 실시하였다. 먼저 평가자와 동료 학습자를 대상으로 발표에 대한 요구분석을 하고, 더불어 실제 학문 목적 학습자들의 발표를 관찰하며 발표 분석표의 채점과 담화분석을 실시하였다. Ⅳ장에서는 학문 목적 발표에 대한 교육 내용을 구안하였다. 수집한 정보를 통해 학습자가 가지고 있는 발표에서의 문제점을 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 학문 목적 발표 교육의 목표 및 원리를 설정하면서 교육 방안을 제시하였다. 마지막 V장에서는 앞선 내용들을 요약하며 본 연구의 의미와 한계점을 제시하고 향후 이어질 연구에 대한 내용을 언급하였다.
본고는 학문 목적 중국인 학습자들이 대학 학업을 수행하는 과정 동안 필요한 발표 활동에 초점을 맞추고 인터뷰를 통한 요구분석, 관찰을 통한 담화분석을 실시하여 학문 목적 중국인 학습자의 발표가 가지는 문제점을 파악했다. 이에 따라 도출한 문제점을 개선하기 위해 실제성, 상호작용성, 언어 네 기능의 연계성이라는 기본 원리를 바탕으로 중국인 한국어 학습자를 위한 발표 교육의 구체적인 내용과 학부 교양과정에 적용 가능한 방안을 제시한 것에 본 연구의 의미를 찾을 수 있다.
