The purpose of the study is to know about school adjustment of the international students who are in Kyungpook National University. To achieve this purpose, the narrative research was adapted and conducted. The research field was Kyungpook National University. Data for analysis are gained mainly from participant observation for 4 months from December, 2011 to April, 2012.
The Major findings of this study are as follows:
International students want to come here for Studying. The purpose of their studying overseas is for their future. They want to get a good job and they believe if they get a good job, they will be a better life or better social position. Why did they decide to come to Korea is a little bit complicated. One reason is that they were touched while they watched Korean drama and it took them here. Actually they like Koreans who are kind and Korea which is developed country. However, the most important reason is to get a scholarship.
But, when they stay here in Korea, they face lots of problems. It contains studaying, relationship, economic situation and discrimination. Especially they feel burden when Koreans treat them badly.
Furthermore, Headquarter of the university don't solve these problems and even they behave as if it is not their job or they don't know which part of the university has to solve. Therefore, International students are still suffering. So, it needs some more supporting.
Based on the results, this studay assert that International students should have their dream and purpose first and then go for that, and Koreans should understand what their culture is and what they want. Then, International students who are in Korean, will have comfortable life when they stay here and Koreans will experience other countries' culture through them. It is one of the wonderful experience for them to have.

본 연구는 외국인 유학생들의 대학생활 적응에 대한 내러티브 연구이다. 외국인 유학생들은 발전된 학문습득을 통해 더 윤택한 경제적 여건과 사회적 지위를 획득하려고 한다. 하지만 유학생활 중 많은 어려움에 직면하게 된다. 한국어로 이뤄지는 수업, 관계, 경제적 어려움과 차별 등 많은 어려움에 직면하며 어려움을 겪게 되는데, 이러한 어려움을 해결하기 위한 노력이 부족한 것이 현실이다. 외국인유학생들의 한국에서의 유학생활 중 의미와 목적을 찾을 수 있도록 한국인들과 대학본부의 배려가 필요하며, 외국인유학생들 역시 이러한 배려를 통해 서로 상호화합하며 서로의 문화를 공유하여 편견의 벽을 줄이고 서로에 대한 차이를 이해하고 노력하는 계기가 되었으면 한다.
