관악구에 위치하교 있는 고시촌은 1975년 서울대가 대학동(구 신림9동)으로 이전 후, 사법고시 및 각종 고시 준비생들이 하숙촌을 형성하게 된 마을이자 한때, 젊은이들에게는 성공과 기회, ... 관악구에 위치하교 있는 고시촌은 1975년 서울대가 대학동(구 신림9동)으로 이전 후, 사법고시 및 각종 고시 준비생들이 하숙촌을 형성하게 된 마을이자 한때, 젊은이들에게는 성공과 기회, 욕망의 땅 이였다. 하지만 2009년 로스쿨제도가 도입되고 2017년부터 사법고시가 폐지된 이후 많은 고시생들이 이곳을 떠나면서 고시촌은 쇠퇴하기 시작한다. 현재 기타 국가고시준비생, 외국인 유학생, 취업준비생, 직장인 등 다양한 ‘1인가구’들이 고시촌에 거주하면서 새로운 다양한 문화를 형성하고 있으며 정부에서도 낙후화 되어가고 있는 고시촌의 활성화를 위해 ‘스토텔링 작가클럽하우스’ 프로젝트, ‘지식문화마을’등 다양한 문화사업을 진행하고 있다. 이러한 사회적, 문화적 특성에 따라 변화되어 가고 있는 고시촌 지역의 활성화를 위해 기존의 지식정보 특성을 유지하면서 새로운 지식문화콘텐츠를 도입하는 복합도서관을 계획하려 한다. 현존하고 있는 고시생들을 위한 기능을 포함하고 또한 지역주민들의 정보제공 기능을 할 뿐만 아니라 지역사회의 문화를 창조하고 마을 공동체를 위한 복합도서관을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 더 나아가 다양한 공간특성으로 만들어진 고시촌마을에서 지역적 네트워크 형성에 중심적 역할을 하여 고시촌을 휴식, 문학, 예술, 경제가 유기적으로 융합한 새로운 창조마을로 기대한다.
Situated in Gwanak-gu, the Gosichon was established as a boarding house town for students preparing for all kinds of national exams including the bar exam after Seoul National University moved to Daehak-dong (former Shinrim 9-dong) in 1975. Situated in Gwanak-gu, the Gosichon was established as a boarding house town for students preparing for all kinds of national exams including the bar exam after Seoul National University moved to Daehak-dong (former Shinrim 9-dong) in 1975. It represented the land of success, opportunity, and desire for young people for years. It, however, started to decline after many students preparing for national exams left since the introduction of Law School System in 2009 and the abolition of bar exam in 2017. Today there are diverse “single-person households” living in the Gosichon including students preparing for national exams, employment, or studying abroad and office workers, and they create new and diverse cultures. Trying to revitalize the Gosichon that has been deteriorating, the government has carried out an array of cultural projects including the “Storytelling Writers’ Club House” project and “Knowledge Culture Village.” In an effort to promote the vitalization of Gosichon that was changing according to those social and cultural characteristics, this study set out to plan a complex library to introduce new knowledge culture content while maintaining the old knowledge and information features. Its goal was to propose a complex library that would contain functions for the current students preparing for national exams, perform the functions of information provision for local residents, create a community culture, and promote the welfare of village community.
