본 연구는 신체 및 외모에 가장 관심이 높은 여고생들의 색조화장 실태 및 어머니 관여조사를 기반으로 여고생의 자아존중감 및 어머니와의 의사소통이 미의식에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자... 본 연구는 신체 및 외모에 가장 관심이 높은 여고생들의 색조화장 실태 및 어머니 관여조사를 기반으로 여고생의 자아존중감 및 어머니와의 의사소통이 미의식에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자, 서울과 경기소재 고등학교 여고생 195명과 어머니 195명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 세대간 색조화장 관여 조사결과, 여고생 색조화장에 대해 50%이상의 어머니가 관여하고 있다고 응답한 반면, 여고생의 80%이상은 어머니의 관여에 대해서 인식을 못하고 있었다. 또한 색조화장 관여 행위 인식 비교분석 결과 어머니는 구속당하는 것 같다 (40.5%) 고 응답하였지만, 여고생의 40%는 아무렇지 않다고 하여 세대간 색조화장 관여에 대해 큰 인식 차이를 보이고 있어 어머니와 여고생의 의사소통과 공감이 부족한 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 개방적 의사소통이 심적(0.609)·신체적(0.699) 자아존중감 형성 및 내면적 미의식(0.604) 향상과 높은 상관관계가 있어 세대간 의사소통의 확대가 필요한 것으로 분석되었으며, 높은 내면적 미의식을 지닌 여고생이 미에 대한 욕구가 높아 외모중요성(0.644) 및 외모관리(0.643)와의 상관관계가 높게 나타났다. 따라서, 색조화장에 대한 부모-자녀 세대간 갈등예방의 의사소통 증진과 올바른 미의식 형성을 위해서 여고생 기초소양교육 및 교육과정 자율화 확대와 자녀의 눈높이에 맞춘 부모 대상의 전문기관 교육 확대가 필요하다. 이와 같은 교육으로 세대간 상호 인격 존중과 올바른 미적 자아가 확립되어 선진화된 화장문화가 구축 될 것으로 사료된다.

This study aims to examine the influence of maternal parent-female highschool students’ communication and self esteem on aesthetic consciousness by analyzing the actual condition of using color makeup and maternal involvement. Participants are categorized by Seoul -Kyunggi based 195 maternal parents and 195 female highschool students. While over 80% of female highschool students ed they were not interested themselves in the maternal involvement on their color make up, more than half of the maternal parents responded that they are concerned with their daughters’ color make up. When it comes to the interference in daughters’ color make up behavior, the opinions are much different between the two generations. 40.5% of the maternal respondents answered that they feel trapped in that but the 40% of the highschool girls thought otherwise; they have no regard for being interfered with. This significant gap resulted in a lack of communication between the two generations and it also affect the empathy in mother-daughter interaction. As open communication between them is highly correlated with not only their formation of mental(0.609) and physical(0.699) self esteem but also the improvement of internal beauty consciousness (0.604), it is positively necessary to expand this communication ability between the two generations. Narrowing their different views makes maternal parents understand the necessity of their daughters’ color make-up. Those who are aware of the internal aesthetic consciousness have good eye and desirable want for beauty, moreover, it is correlated with their importance of beauty(0.644), necessity of appearance management behavior(0.643). In order to create proper aesthetic consciousness, it is highly necessary for the professional institute and school to provide authorized education. Both maternal parents and daughters can be sensible in resolving the conflict over color makeup and improve effective communication ability.
