수원 화성은 정조대왕의 이상향과 당대 최고의 과학기술이 집대성 된 문화유산이다. 수원 화성의 역사적·건축적 가치와 위상은 다수의 연구와 고증을 통해 규명되었으며, 이러한 점을 활용... 수원 화성은 정조대왕의 이상향과 당대 최고의 과학기술이 집대성 된 문화유산이다. 수원 화성의 역사적·건축적 가치와 위상은 다수의 연구와 고증을 통해 규명되었으며, 이러한 점을 활용한 역사자원의 활용 및 관광 등에 대한 연구도 활발하게 이루어졌다. 그러나 화성 성곽 내부의 도시적 관점에서의 연구는 다른 분야에 비해 관심을 받지 못하였다. 우리나라 최초의 계획도시이며, 현재까지도 사람들의 삶의 공간으로 기능하고 있는 화성은 단일문화재의 가치규명 및 복원과 함께 도시적 관점에서 변화와 맥락을 고려한 장소의 아이덴티티(Identity)에 대한 고찰이 필요하다. 본 연구는 화성행궁권역의 물리적 영역과 윤곽의 변화 분석을 통해 영역별 장소의 아이덴티티(Identity)를 구성하는 물리적 요소와 비(非) 물리적 요소의 변화 유형을 구분하고, 장소의 아이덴티티의 형성과 변화를 정의하고자 하였다. 우선 면적(面的)세력권으로써 화성행궁권역과 각 세부영역을 정의하였으며, 수원화성의 중심공간으로써 형성되는 과정을 고찰하였다. 뒤이어 시대의 흐름에 따른 화성행궁권역의 변화과정을 정치경제학적 관점에서 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 물리적 필지변화를 분석하고 필지의 윤곽 및 영역변화에 따른 장소의 아이덴티티의 변화의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 필지분석의 결과 필지의 영역과 윤곽의 변형은 기능 및 상징과 같은 비(非)물리적 요소와 함께 장소가 아이덴티티(Identity)의 변형 및 상실에 큰 영향을 주었다. 따라서 시간의 흐름에 따른 도시의 변화 속에서 최소한 필지의 윤곽과 영역성을 보존하고, 비(非)물리적 요소인 필지의 기능을 유지할 수 있도록 함으로써 변화에 유연하게 대응하고 영역의 독창성과 아이덴티티의 보존을 유도할 수 있을 것이다. 이러한 관점에서 화성행궁권역의 아이덴티티(Identity)의 형성 및 강화를 위한 제안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공간이 갖는 장소의 아이덴티티(Identity)는 역사성과 변화에 따른 연속성의 융합으로 형성된다. 화성행궁권역의 독자적인 특징을 보존하기 위해 역사적 의미와 변화과정에 대한 정확한 분석과정이 필요하며, 변화에 의한 도시의 연속성 또한 공간의 특징으로써 인식해야 한다. 둘째, 도시에서 일어나는 도시화라는 변화를 유연하게 받아들일 수 있는 계획이 필요하다. 무분별한 도시의 변화 속에서 화성행궁권역의 많은 부분은 장소의 아이덴티티(Identity)를 상실했거나 모호한 상태에 있다. 따라서 보존해야할 가치를 도출하고 필지 윤곽과 영역, 옛길과 같이 최소한의 장소의 아이덴티티를 나타낼 수 있는 요소의 보존을 고려해야 한다. 셋째, 화성행궁의 유지·관리계획 수립에 있어 각 영역의 아이덴티티(Identity)를 강화할 수 있는 계획이 필요하다. 수원화성은 그동안의 많은 변화 속에서도 훼손된 시설물의 원형을 되찾으려는 노력을 통해 양호한 문화재의 복원과 보존 상태를 유지하고 있다. 문화재와 더불어 독창적이며 도시적 맥락을 고려한 아이덴티티(Identity)가 있는 역사도시환경을 형성하고 보존해 나간다면 시간이 지날수록 수원화성의 가치와 위상은 높아질 것이다. 본 연구는 화성행궁권역의 도시조직의 변화를 통해 아이덴티티(Identity)를 도출하고, 물리적 요소의 변화가 장소의 독자적 특징을 나타내는 아이덴티티의 변화에 어떤 영향을 주는가에 초점을 맞추었다. 향후 연구에서는 화성행궁권역 뿐 아니라 화성 경내 전체의 영역설정과 영역별 아이덴티티를 도출하고, 이들을 통합적으로 연계할 수 있는 구체적인 방향과 수단의 제시가 필요할 것이다.

Suwon Hwaseong (Brilliant Fortress) is a cultural heritage that the ideal of King Jeongjo (1752 –.1800) and the best science and technology of its time are integration into a greater whole. The historical and architectural value and status of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress have been identified through numerous researches of historical evidence, as well as investigations about the utilization of historical resources and tourism. However, the studies from the urban point of view within Hwaseong have not attracted much attention than other fields. Hwaseong, which is the first planned city in Korea and still functions as an integral part of people’s lives, needs to be examined to maintain the identity of each place considering the change and the context with the urban point of view, as well as investigation and restoration from a viewing of cultural heritage. Thus, this thesis grasps significant points by dividing the change type of the physical and non-physical elements constituting the identity of a place according to each domain by analyzing the transformation of the physical territory and figure of the Hwaseong temporary palace and its surrounding area, and then defines the formation and change of the identity through the sphere and contour as a result. First of all, the thesis define both the area of Hwaseong palace area and that of each subdivision as the side of powerful sphere, and examine their formation process as a central space of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. In the following, we examine the process of transformation of the Hwaseong palace area in accordance with the passing of times from the viewpoint of political economy. Based on the interpretation, it analyzes the correlation between the change of physical lots and that of the identity of the place depending upon the figure of lots and the change of territories. As a result of the lot’s interpretation, both the deformation of territories and the figure of lots make a great influence on the deformation and loss of the identity with the non-physical factors such as the function and the symbol. Therefore, both by preserving the figuration and territoriality of the lots at least in the urban change with the course of time and by keeping the function of the lots as a non-physical element, the non-physical elements respond to the changes flexibly, and lead to the originality of the territory and the conservation of the identity. From this point of view, the proposal for shaping and strengthening the identity of Hwaseong palace area is as follows. First, the identity of the spatial place is molded by the fusion of continuity according to history and change. In order to preserve the unique characteristics of the Hwaseong temporary palace area, it is necessary to interpret the historic meaning and the process of changes accurately, and the urban continuity due to the alteration should also be recognized as a feature of space. Second, a plan that can flexibly accommodate changes in urbanization is demanded. In the reckless change of the city, many parts of the Hwaseong area are lost or ambiguous in the identity of the place. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the preservation of elements that can bring out the value to be preserved and represent the identity of the minimum place such as the figure of lots, territories, and old roads. Third, a plan is needed to strengthen the identity of each territory in the management plan of the palace. Suwon Hwaseong has been a good precedent of the restoration and preservation of cultural heritages so far through great efforts to re-gain the original shape of the damaged facilities even in the course of many changes. If we intend to build and preserve historic urban surroundings with a sense of identity that takes creativity and urban context into consideration along with cultural heritages, the value and status of Suwon Hwaseong will increase as time passes by. This study concentrates on the findings of the identity through the change of urban tissue in Hwaseong temporary palace and its surrounding area, and also on the influence of physical element depending on the transformation of identity which shows the characteristics of the place. In future research, it is necessary to elucidate not only the Hwaseong palace and its neighboring area but also the whole area of Hwaseong Fortress site by drawing a sense of identity of each area, and to suggest concrete directions and means to link them integrally accordingly. ，韩语论文题目，韩语毕业论文 |
