The purpose of this research is to study the expression of Chinese traditional floral patterns for textile modeling. Chinese traditional floral patterns has so far developed in continuous paces through the rich history for thousands of years. Through the period of time, the floral patterns has maintained both diversity and unity, and at the same time unique and attractive tradition and spirits of Chinese people. However, current designs using Chinese traditional floral patterns and researches into them, are used just as references, failing to propose designs to satisfy the sense of beauty of modern Chinese. Thus, this study intends to focus on floral patterns among Chinese various traditional patterns, and to make researches into textile modeling based on its historical understanding. Chinese floral patterns did not play a significant role at the time the history of decoration culture started. Since late Tang, however, the floral patterns began to play a major part in decoration culture with their plant patterns. Thereafter, they have been extensively applied in the fields of architectural decoration, ceramics, and stone caves, and silk fabrics. This researcher focuses on this, and explores into the origin of floral patterns and their kinds and features by era, laying a foundation of making art works using the floral patterns. This research has finally identified that lotus and peony patterns appear repeatedly in the history of Chinese floral patterns, and intended to make the intensive use of formative features of lotus and peony patterns for textile designs. The formative features, however, are not applied as they were, but they are simplified and exaggerated instead. Then, they are re-created as textile designs that combine Chinese traditional floral patterns with modern designs. Ultimately this research aims to serve as a stepping stone for modern textile design that suggests future-oriented values, based on Chinese traditional culture.
본 논문은 중국 전통 꽃문양을 활용한 텍스타일 조형연구를 목적으로 한다. 중국 전통문양은 수천 년의 유구한 역사와 함께 오늘날까지 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 중국 전통문양은 이러한 발전... 본 논문은 중국 전통 꽃문양을 활용한 텍스타일 조형연구를 목적으로 한다. 중국 전통문양은 수천 년의 유구한 역사와 함께 오늘날까지 발전을 거듭하고 있다. 중국 전통문양은 이러한 발전과 변화 속에서 다양성과 통일성을 지녀왔으며, 동시에 독특하면서도 매력적인 민족의 전통과 정신을 담고 있다. 그러나 현재 중국 전통문양을 활용한 디자인과 그에 관한 연구는 전통문양의 참조에 그치면서 중국 현대인의 미감에 부합하는 디자인을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 논문은 다양하고 광범위한 중국 전통문양 중 꽃문양에 주목하고, 그 역사적 이해를 바탕으로 텍스타일 조형연구를 실행하고자 하였다. 중국의 꽃문양은 장식 문화 역사의 초기부터 중요한 위치를 차지하지는 않았다. 그러나 당대(唐代) 후기부터는 식물 문양의 유행을 시작으로 장식 문화의 주류로서 자리 잡게 되어 건축 장식, 도자기, 석굴, 견직물 등의 분야에도 폭넓게 응용되었다. 본 연구자는 이점에 주목하여 중국 전통 꽃문양의 기원과 시대별 꽃문양의 종류, 특징 등 꽃문양의 역사를 탐구하며 작품 제작의 토대를 구축하였다. 본 논문은 모란문과 연화문이 중국 꽃문양의 역사에 반복적으로 등장한다는 점을 확인하였고, 모란문과 연화문에 나타난 조형적 특징을 텍스타일 디자인에 집중적으로 활용하고자 하였다. 이때 조형적 특징을 그대로 활용하는 것이 아닌 간결함과 과장의 방법을 적용하였고, 중국 전통 꽃문양과 현대 디자인이 상호 결합한 텍스타일 디자인으로 재창조하였다. 궁극적으로 본 논문은 중국 전통문화에 토대를 두고 미래지향적 가치를 제시하는 현대 텍스타일 디자인의 발판을 마련하고자 하였다. ，韩语论文，韩语论文 |
