중국 외식산업은 고도 경제성장의 지속과 소득수준의 향상으로 인해 거대한 시장 잠재력이 빠르게 현실화되면서 세계적으로 가장 큰 성장세를 기록하고 있다. 중국 서비스 산업은 사회발전과 국민생활 속에서 중요한 역할을 하고 있다.
이러한 상황 속에서 외식업체들은 차별화된 서비스를 제공함으로써 고객만족도를 높이고 고객을 확보하는데 노력하고 있다. 최근 들어 서비스품질의 지각과 고객만족에 대한 물리적 환경의 영향이 사람들의 관심을 끌고 있기 때문에 물리적 환경의 개선을 통해 차별화된 서비스를 제공하게 되었다.
이와 관련하여 본 논문에서는 중국 북경의 위치한 호텔 레스토랑, 패밀리 레스토랑, 패스트푸드 레스토랑을 방문한 고객들의 만족도에 영향을 미치는 물리적 환경요인들을 파악하고, 소비자의 인구 통계적 특성과 고객만족 , 재방문의도에 대한 상관관계 및 요인별 만족도를 분석함으로써 레스토랑 경영자들에게 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.

Recently, because of the rapidly economic growth and the continuous rising of the income level in catering industry in China, the biggest growth of the market potential is realized by the world. The service industry in China plays an important role in social development and public life.
The current study is to find out the physical environmental factors in the hotel restaurants, family restaurants and fast food restaurants in Beijing, at the same time, the study assess the relationship between physical environments, customer satisfaction and other variables. Upon to the research findings, the current study propose several research and practical implications.
