This study selected Glottalization considered to be now under active discussion as contents of phonology education, which aimed to be created as educational contents in the research learning. By researching a familiar language phenomena around learners, a principle of language operation for goals of phonology education is realized, which is founded on the premise that there can be expectations of new understanding & changes of attitude for language orthography on the basis of the principle. At first as structures & contents related to the phonology education in the present curriculum and the middle & high school textbooks were reviewed, aspects that goals under the curriculum had been developed were examined, and it's asserted that the phonology education should be required to be reorganized based on the aspects. Therefore supposing that the Glottalization to have been gradually spread in both sides of time & space, an actual survey on the phenomena was conducted for learners of the secondary school in Seoul Metropolitan area. It's ascertained that as a result of the survey, the Glottalization was examined and classified into lottalization in the beginning of a word of native tongue & foreign words, inflection, derivation, Glottalization of compound words, and Glottalization of Sino-Korean words according to the category, and it would be possible to design the educational contents on the Glottalization divided into each category with interpretation of the actual survey. First, the Glottalization in the beginning of a word is triggered by psychological factors of the public using the same language in the society, and is a language phenomena showing a strong expression effect. As this is the phenomena diachronically formed, the nature of language phenomena experiencing changes over time and the relationship of antagonist between the phenomena and the language orthography to block it can be understood. With the Glottalization of the beginning of foreign words, it's possible to research the general rules happening in the borrowing English with the beginning of 'S' word among the foreign words, so it's ascertained that it's easy to understand the nature of consonant system in our Korean. The Glottalization showing in the inflection & the deviation can be understood on the basis of allomorph minimization constraints that language attempts to simplify allomorph. As the Glottalization in the compound words & the Sino-Korean words are greatly influenced by morphology & semantics, their origins are examined and it's thought that learners could be given a chance to newly understand insight & language orthography on their own pronunciation in the course of inquiry the common rules of the standard pronunciation suggested in the orthography. In this article it's ascertained that it's ossible to explore a principle of various languages in the Glottalization based on the survey of the Glottalization, on the basis of which the educational contents were designed to be created. Understanding a principle of language operation through the 'explore' experience on the general phonological phenomena, it will contribute to new understanding & changes of attitude on the language orthography in close relation to the phenomena. This way, it will have to seek to change the education contents so that the future phonological education enable learners to experience a positive explore.
본 연구는 현재 활발히 진행되고 있다고 판단되는 경음화 현상을 음운 교육의 내용으로 선정하고 그것을 탐구 학습으로 교육 내용화하고자 하였다. 이는 학습자 주변의 친숙한 언어 현상을 ... 본 연구는 현재 활발히 진행되고 있다고 판단되는 경음화 현상을 음운 교육의 내용으로 선정하고 그것을 탐구 학습으로 교육 내용화하고자 하였다. 이는 학습자 주변의 친숙한 언어 현상을 탐구함으로써 음운 교육의 목표인 ‘언어 운용의 원리’를 알고, 그것을 통해 어문 규범에 대한 재인식 및 태도 변화를 기대해볼 수 있음을 전제로 한다. 따라서 Ⅱ장에서는 현행 교육과정 및 중·고교 교과서의 음운 교육에 관련된 구성과 내용을 검토하여 실제 교육과정상의 목표가 구체화된 양상을 살펴보았고, 그것을 바탕으로 음운 교육 내용이 재구성될 필요가 있음을 주장하였다. 그래서 시간과 공간의 양면에서 점차 확산되고 있는 ‘경음화 현상’을 음운 교육의 탐구 내용으로 상정하고, 실제로 수도권 지역의 중등학교 학습자를 상대로 경음화 현상에 대한 실태 조사를 진행하였다. Ⅲ장에서는 조사한 경음화 현상을 그 범위에 따라 고유어의 어두 경음화 및 외래어의 어두경음화 그리고 굴절, 파생, 합성어의 경음화, 한자어의 경음화로 분류하여 조사하였고 그 실태에 대한 해석과 함께 각 층위로 나눈 경음화 현상에 대한 교육 내용 설계의 가능성을 확인하였다. 먼저 어두경음화는 언중들의 심리적 요인으로 촉발되며, 강한 표현 효과를 드러내는 언어 현상이다. 이는 통시적으로 이루어진 것으로 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화를 겪는다. 또한 이러한 현상을 저지하는 어문 규범이 있으며, 경음화 현상을 통해 ‘변화를 겪는 언어 현상’으로서의 특성과 ‘어문 규범’이 서로 길항 관계에 놓임을 이해할 수 있다. 외래어의 어두경음화를 통해서는 외래어 중에서도 ‘S’를 어두로 시작하는 영어의 차용에서 일어나는 보편적인 규칙 탐구가 가능하며, 우리말 자음 체계의 특징을 파악하기에 용이하다는 것을 확인하였다. 굴절과 파생에서 나타나는 경음화는 이형태를 단순화하려는 ‘이형태 최소화 제약’을 기반으로 하여 이해할 수 있다. 합성어의 경음화 및 한자어의 경음화는 형태·의미론적 영향을 강하게 받는다. 따라서 그 기원을 살펴봄과 함께 어문 규범에서 제시하는 표준 발음의 공통 규칙을 탐구하는 과정에서 학습자가 스스로의 발음에 대한 통찰과 어문 규범에 대한 재인식의 기회를 얻을 수 있을 것이라고 보았다. 본고는 경음화 현상 조사를 바탕으로 ‘경음화 현상’에서 다양한 언어의 원리 탐구가 가능함을 확인하였고, 그에 입각한 교육 내용화를 설계해 보았다. 이와 같이 일반적인 음운 현상에 관한 ‘탐구’ 경험의 강조가 가장 먼저 선행되어야 한다. 이를 통해 언어 운용의 원리를 알고, 음운 현상과 밀접한 관련을 맺는 어문 규범에 대한 재인식 및 태도 변화를 모색해볼 수 있기 때문이다. 이처럼 앞으로의 음운 교육이 학습자의 능동적인 탐구 경험을 이끌 수 있도록 교육 내용의 변화를 모색해야 할 것이다. 참고문헌 (Reference) |
