한국어와 중국어는 교착어와 고립어라는 서로 다른 언어 유형에 속하지만 동일한 한자문화권에 속해 있다. 게다가 근래에 와서 한국과 중국 간에 교류가 밀접해져 경제교류뿐만 아니라 정치와 문화의 교류도 증가됨에 따라 서로 간의 원활한 소통을 위해 정확한 언어에 대한 연구가 시급하다.
한국어 어휘 중에 약 70%이상이 한자어가 포함되어있다. 이런 특성은 중국어를 공부하는 한국인에게 유리하게 작용되는 부분이 있는 반면, 그 한자의 뜻이 서로 다르기 때문에 오히려 혼란을 가져올 수 있다. 특히, 중국에는 字의 訓이 없고 常用義만 존재하기 때문에 甲骨文의 本義보다 뜻에 대해서 정확하게 파악할 수 있다고 생각한다. 따라서 본 논문의 주제는 한·중 기초한자와 甲骨文의 字의 비교로 정하였다.
본 논문은 『象形字典』에서 나온 甲骨文의 本義에 의거하여 『古文字基礎』도 참고하였다. 아직까지 출판된 甲骨文의 本義에 관한 자전이 없고 甲骨文의 本義에도 해설이 확실하지 않아서 본 논문에서 나온 부분 설명도 참고 가치만 가지고 있다.
본 논문의 제1장에서는 본 연구의 필요성과 목적을 밝혔으며 선행연구를 검토하고 연구의 범위와 방법도 함께 제시하였다.
제2장에서는 본 연구에서 비교할 한자에 대해 설명하고 중국과 한국의 한자의 자형을 비교하고 同形과 異形로 나눴다. 그리고 繁簡규칙에 대해 설명하며 한국식 한자도 간단하게 제시하였다.
제3장은 본 연구의 중심 부분이다. 제1절은 한국 기초한자 대표 訓과 『象形字典』에서 나온 한자의 甲骨文의 本義 서로 비교하고 분류했다. 제2절은 중국 기초한자의 常用義와 『象形字典』에서 나온 한자의 甲骨文의 本義를 서로 비교하고 분류했다. 제3절은 『說文解字』와 『象形字典』에서 나온 한자의 甲骨文의 本義에 대해 서로 비교하고 분류했다. 이 과정을 거쳐 한자의 甲骨文 本義에 대해 잘 알 수 있고 중국 기초한자의 常用義와 한국 기초한자의 대표 訓도 잘 알 수 있다.
제4장에서는 한국 기초한자와 중국 기초한자에 대해 간단하게 분석, 비교하고 한·중 한자의 의미에 대해 정리하여 분류하여 양국 언어 학습자에게 좋은 참고자료가 될 수 있도록 하였다.
제5장에서는 앞에서 연구한 내용을 정리하였다.

Recently, Korea and China have close exchanges in not only economy, they also become more close in politics and culture. If me hope to get the smoothly communication, we must first understand each other in language.
More than 70% of the words in korean are Chinese characters, so learn Korean will play a good help in learning Chinese. Both of the two countries use Chinese characters, but it's not totally the same by what they really means. Each single character in Chinese doesn't have the explanation which the character in korean have. We usually call the explanation in korean 'xun'. Chinese characters just have the common meanings and it may not be easy for us to understand the connections between Chinese characters and the Oracle which is also an ancient character in the world.
But I find out that if we compare the three things, the common meanings of Chinese characters, the'xun' in korean, and the meanings in Oracle, we will be more aware of the deep implication of the Chinese.
According of this, the subject of this thesis will be 'The Comparison Among the Basic Korean Characters, Chinese Characters and the Implication of Oracle'.
This thesis is based on the original meaning of oracle in <Hieroglyph> and also referred to <Foundation of Ancient Writing>. The discussion in this just have certain and referenced value because the dictionary of Oracle original meaning has not been published, so the explanation of it is also not for certain.
