More and more people learn Korean with trend of global village. As for modern Korean education, it is far more enough to only stress language education traditionally; therefore, there are more and more cognition to combine language education with culture education, also with some certain accumulation in terms of related research results and methods.
Literatures, especially poems not only connote value and mood of one nation, but also can be used as study material due to its essence of rhythmic language, which is of vital importance in developing such abilities as listening, speaking, reading and writing of learners comprehensively. However, on Korean education spot, flexible application of poems is only superficial; education giving priority to words is slim as for coverage of cultural education. Although learners touch poems, they can still not feel South Korean mood and thought connoted in poems.
Firstly, this research analyzed modern poet Kim So Weol’s works based on South Korean image and mood reflected in her works and put forward trouble spots and solutions for poems being applied in Korean education, with proposal applicable to learning method for Korean education courses as subject, focusing on abilities in language free communication of active foreign learners, making learners understand Korean by poems in a faster and easier way as well as can apply in actual life skillfully.
Chapter 1 of this , it analyzed viewpoint and improved point of prior study after putting forward research purpose and determining research method, meanwhile, discussed correlativity between culture and foreign language education, advantages related to activate Korean education by literatures, possibility of Kim So Weol’s poems being applied in Korean education flexibly etc. and then, necessity of being applied in Korean education flexibly by various basis and concept definition literatures, especially poems.
In chapter 2, firstly, it put forward value and methods related to Kim So Weol’s poems being applied in Korean poems education flexibly, after resolving selection standards and courses sequences, and then instructed theoretical knowledge in listening, speaking, reading and writing as well as provided courses scheme to be applied in above four fields by Kim So Weol’s poems.
In chapter 3, it reached a conclusion that learners can learn more Korean by applying cultural works –poems flexibly and can have better understanding to South Korean culture, as well as improve their own ability in consciousness clearing.

세계가 지구촌화하면서 한국어 학습자도 많아지고 있다. 한국어 교육에 있어서 단순이 전통적인 언어교육만 강조하는 방법은 부족하여 언어교육과 문화교육이라는 양측이 동시에 이루어지는 요구가 급속히 상승하면서 다양한 방법과 시각으로 연구 성과도 축적되고 있다.
문학 작품, 특히 시작품은 그 나라의 가치관과 정서를 담고 있을 뿐만 아니라 운율적인 언어의 정제된 학습 자료로써 다양한 활동을 통해 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기, 말하기교육 등을 골고루 발달시킬 수 있는 점에서 가치가 아주 많다. 하지만 정작 한국어교육현장에서 시작품을 활용한 경우는 표면적이고 어휘 위주의 교육에만 편중되어 있어 문화요소들에 대한 배려는 미흡하게 보인다. 학습자들은 시를 접근해도 시에 담겨 있는 한국인 정서와 사상을 충분히 느낄 수 없는 실정이다.
본 연구는 현대시인 김소원의 작품에 나타난 한국의 이미지와 정서를 토대로 작품을 분석한 다음, 시 작품을 활용한 한국어 교육의 문제점 및 해결방안을 제시하고 수업에 적용할 학습방법을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 하여 외국인 학습자의 자연스러운 언어 소통을 활성화하는데 초점을 맞추었다. 시 작품을 통하여 더 빨리, 쉽게 이해하고 익혀서 생활에 활용할 수 있는 한국어를 알 수 있도록 한다.
따라서 본 논문은 제1장에서는 김소월의 시를 활용한 교육 연구에 대하여 목적과 방법을 밝히고 선행연구들을 살펴보면서 그 연구들의 관점과 개선점을 분석해 봤다.
제2장에서는 먼저 김소월의 시 작품을 한국어 교육에서 활용한 가치와 방법을 제시했다. 작품의 선정기준과 수업절차를 제시한 후에 언어기능인 말하기, 쓰기, 읽기, 듣기의 이론적 내용을 살펴본 후 김소월의 시 작품을 이 네 영역에서 활용할 수 있는 수업방안을 제시했다.
제3장에서는 결론으로 문학작품 중 시를 활용한 한국어 교육으로 인하여 한국어 학습자는 더 많은 한국어 획득과 한국문화의 깊은 이해를 통해 의사소통 능력이 많이 향상시킬 수 있도록 제시했다.
