The purpose of this study is for understanding career goal, career barrier, and career preparation behaviors of married immigrant women as an individual through their individual experiences and examples. It is because career which is used as a comprehensive term including the meaning of job refers to the process that understanding about personal ability, a character trait, and self-concept, making reasonable decision, and responding to environmental requirements during a whole lifetime. Korean government focuses on adaption and settlement of marriage immigrant women, whose number is exploding after 2000. In turn, the researches for the difficulty of marriage immigrant women's adjustment and job for their economical independent are actively studied. They are in serious difficulty due to shortage of Korean language, lack of information and experience of rearing children(Yang, In-suk?Min, mu-suk, 2010). In this time, it is on rise that the needs for Korean society comprehending married immigrant women to adjust Korea and to take a role as a person. To understand marriage immigrant women, this research will look into how marriage immigrant women conduct the career in their lives. It is because conducting the career is considered to be helpful for them to lead their lives more successfully as career is to understand personal trait, comprehend the career world, and adjust the environmental change. Career is the important factor for marriage immigrant women' lives as it could bring positive effect not only on themselves but also on the family and society related to them if marriage immigrant women conduct the career successfully and progress after immigration. Marriage immigrant women are expected to have more and higher career barriers than average Korean women do in reality, so the research will figure out what career goal marriage immigrant women have, what is the career barriers, and how they conduct the career preparation behavior to achieve the goal through case study. According to this study necessity and purpose, study problems are composed like below. First, what is the career goal for married immigrant women? Second, what is the career barrier for married immigrant women? Third, How married immigrant women perform their career preparation behaviors? This research is based on career goal, career barrier, and career preparation behavior from the social cognitive theory as an analysis tool. In the career goal, self-efficacy and result expectation element are analyzed with the experiences of participants. Research result is as in the following First, career goal for married immigrant women turns out self-reliance and valuable life. Career is used in widespread range including a job, and their career goal is for being a self-employed, a travel guide, an english teacher, and a regular worker. They have various goal for valuable life to feel that their living is better than monetary stuff, to have a healing tour through music, and to exchange with foreign scholars and train junior scholars. Second, dichotomous classification for internal factor and external factor is used for analysing career barrier. Child-rearing, Korean language ability, difficulty of information gathering, and inner complications are considered as internal factors. Besides, exclusion, indifference, disregard of Korean office, financial situation, social alienation, and culture gap are classified in external factors. Third, it is classified in three types in career preparation behavior, which are activity to collect the information, activity to prepare necessary aspects according to the information they found. and practical effort and time investment. Participants who set a career goal clearly and specifically do the behavior needed in career preparation behavior, and if someone merely set up a certain goal or do not have a subordinate goal, it is not connected to career preparation behavior. It is needed to let married immigrant women lead the life and career initiatively and healthily despite the diverse barriers in Korea. With regard to the problems suggested, the proposal is as in the following. First, practice the program to develop self-efficiency in current multicultural women program. Self-efficiency would provide the energy that constantly accomplish the career for the women. Second, carry out varied program between Korean women and multicultural women to communicate with and comprehend together. It is anticipated to resolve social alienation and discord as it could be a method to understand each other.
