속담은 한 민족, 한 나라에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있다. 한국과 중국은 유사하거나 상이한 속담들이 존재한다. 또한, 지리·역사적으로 밀접한 관계와 함께 빈번한 왕래로 인하여 유사한 속담들이 많으나 과거의 교훈이나 풍자가 시대의 흐름에 따라 변하기도 하였다.
사람과 밀접한 관계에 있는 동물은 속담에도 나타나며, 속담에서 동물 속담은 큰 비중을 차지하고 있다. 한국의 동물 속담에서 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담의 빈도수는 3위를 차지하며, 중국의 동물 속담에서 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담 빈도수는 2위를 차지하고 있다. 따라서 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담들은 매우 중요하다는 사실을 유추할 수 있다. 또한, 한국과 중국에서 호랑이의 문화적 측면 역시 매우 큰 가치가 있다. 한국과 중국 모두 호랑이와 연관된 속담이 많다. 그러므로 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담 교육 방안을 모색하고자 한다.
본 연구는 우선 속담의 교육적 가치를 제시한 뒤 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담 교육의 필요성을 검토한다. 호랑이의 문화적 가치, 동물 속담 중에서 ‘호랑이’ 속담의 비중, 교재에 제시된 ‘호랑이’ 관련 속담 분석 및 중국인 학습자에게 호랑이와 관련된 속담 교육의 필요성을 설문 조사하여 분석하도록 한다. 다음에 의미가 동일한 속담의 비유표현과 상이한 속담의 비유표현으로 나누어 분석하며, 동일한 속담의 비유표현의 경우 다시 긍정적·부정적 비유표현으로 나누어 분석한다. 마지막으로 속담 교육 방법을 검토한 뒤에 비유표현이 동일한 속담과 비유표현이 상이한 속담의 교육 방안을 모색한다.
본 연구를 통해 중국어권 학습자들이 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담을 전반적으로 이해시킬 수 있으며 한국에서의 일상생활에 보다 원만한 의사소통이 이루시키기도 한다. 또한 일상생활에서의 호랑이와 관련된 속담을 많이 활용시킨다. 본 연구를 통해서 학습자들에게 호랑이와 관련된 문화, 한국 사람들의 사상을 이해하기에 도움을 준다. 그리고 ‘호랑이’에 관한 속담 교육할 뿐만 아니라 12지신 동물 속담을 교육을 할 때도 이런 교육 방안을 참고하여 활용시킬 수 있다.

Although Korea and China have some differences, their culture and the
thinking of the people have many similarities because two countries are
geographically close and they have cultural exchange frequently. This proposed efficienteducation plans for Korean idioms related to tigers for the Chinese learners who are learning Korean by taking the idioms related to tigers as research subjects. Through the education plans, the learners can understand the meaning of the idioms and Korean culture much more easily. Combining the Chinese idioms related to tigers, they can
learn the Korean idioms more efficiently.
This examined the educational value of idioms and the cultural value of the tigers. Based on the rate of the idioms related to tigers in the animal idioms and the idioms emerging in the textbooks, the educational necessity of the idioms related to tigers were observed and studied through the questionnaire focusing on the learners’ recognition about animal idioms and the idioms related to tigers. Comparative study was conducted by dividing the idioms into figurative expressions with the same meanings and figurative expressions with different meanings. Furthermore, the figurative expressions with the same meanings were divided into positive expressions and negative expressions. In addition, according to the research results, the education methods of the idioms related to tigers were presented. Education plans
were drawn up for both the figurative expressions with the same meanings and the figurative expressions with different meanings. Education model of the idioms were established also. Through the education plans, the learners can express their own opinions well in their study life by learning the idioms related to tigers. They can also use the idioms related to tigers and understand their meanings more deeply so that they can also understand the thinking of Korean people and Korean culture.
