일본어를 배우는 외국인 학습자에게 한자와 함께 가장 어려운 학습항목인 경어는 누구에게 어떻게 사용하느냐에 따라 그 표현이 달라지기 때문에 올바른 경어사용에 어려움이 있다. 그 이유는 한국어는 일정한 기준에 의해 표현되는 절대 경어를 사용하는 반면 일본어는 심리적∙상황적인 요인에 따라 자기 쪽 사람과 상대편을 구별하는 상대경어를 사용하기 때문이다. 따라서 일본인과의 원활한 인간관계를 유지하고 경어사용의 오류를 최소화하기 위해 일본어의 경어 구조와 정확한 개념을 이해하고 일본인들이 실생활에서의 경어표현 문형과 회화를 바탕으로 일본인의 경어행동의 요인을 분석하고 그 용례를 다루어 연구하였다.
본고에서는 2008년 방영된 3편의 일본드라마 대본으로 한미경의 책에서 일본인의 경어행동을 분류한 사회적요인, 상황적요인, 심리적요인의 세 가지의 요소를 1)상하관계(가정, 직장, 학교, 일반관계), 2)친소관계, 3)은혜․역할관계, 4)대화 장면의 구분, 5)대화 매체에 의한 간접대화(음성언어, 문자언어), 6)심리적 거리감, 7)화제의 인물에 대한 판단, 8)상대방의 기분에 대한 배려, 9)장면에 대한 배려, 10)자기품격유지로 나누어 용례를 살펴보고 분석해 보았다.
상하관계에서는 연령의 상하관계와 지위의 상하관계에서 경어행동 나타나고 친소관계에서는 상호간 친분관계인지 소원한 관계인지에 따라 경어행동이 나타났다. 은혜․역할관계에서는 은혜를 입은 사람이 은혜를 주는 사람에 비해 상대적으로 경어의 정중도가 높은 경어체를 사용하는 경향을 보이며 역할의 관계에서 힘의 강약에 따라 경어의 사용이 달라지는 경어행동을 볼 수 있었다. 대화 장면의 구분에서는 공적인 장면과 사적인 장면에서 경어행동이 달라져 같은 표현을 하더라도 다수(多数)를 대상으로 하는 공적인 장면에서는 경어체를 사용하여 격식 있는 모습을 보이고 일대일(一対一)의 사적인 장면에서는 비경어체를 사용하여 친근함을 나타내는 경향이 나타났다. 대화매체에 의한 간접대화는 음성언어와 문자언어로 나누어 설명하였지만 두 경우 모두 상대에게 자신이 표현하고자 하는 메시지를 경어체로 사용하는 공통적인 모습을 보였다. 심리적 거리감은 감정에 의해 좌우되며 화제의 인물에 대한 판단에서는 주로 호칭에서 나타나는 경우가 많았으며 청자가 자신의 쪽이라 간주되면 격의 없이 대하고 청자가 자신의 쪽이 아니라고 간주되면 상대를 높이는 경어행동을 보였다. 상대방의 기분에 대한 배려는 대화의 앞뒤에 「すみません」「お世話になる」「おかげです」「せっかく」등의 정형화된 완곡한 표현을 사용하는 경어행동이 나타나며 장면에 의한 배려는 특정장소에서 격식을 차리는 말로 「こちら」「本日」「ご愛顧」등을 사용하여 격조 있고 품위 있는 경어행동을 표현하는 모습을 보였다. 마지막으로 자기품격유지에서는 상대를 배려하여 사용함이 목적이 아니라 경어사용으로 인하여 자신의 품격을 높이고 교양 있는 사람으로 나타낼 수 있는 위한 수단으로 사용되는 것을 알 수 있었다.
본 연구를 통해 실생활에서 일본인의 경어행동이 여러 가지 요인에 의하여 좌우되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 하지만 상대적이고 주관적인 심리 상태에 따라 일본인의 경어행동이 나타나기 때문에 보다 많은 자료의 분석과 실례를 통하여 구체적이고 실질적인 연구의 필요성이 재고되었다. 또한 한국인학습자들로 하여금 올바른 경어사용과 최소한의 예의와 배려인 경어행동으로 상대를 대하며 자연스러운 일본어를 구사할 수 있도록 하는 것이 본 연구의 목적이 있다 하겠다.

The honorific and Chinese characters are most difficult education points to foreigner learners who learn the Japanese language, especially the honorific is difficult to use correctly because the expression changes whom who you use it to how. The reason is the Korean language uses expressed absolute honorific by regular bases, on the other hand the Japanese language uses comparative honorific distinguishing between own direction and the other party according to psychological and circumstantial factors. For this reason I analyzed factors of Japanese honorific behaviors, and treated the examples, and I studied it, in order to keep smooth personal relations with the Japanese, and to minimize an error of honorific uses. It is based on honorific expression sentence patterns and conversations of the Japanese in real life, and I understand honorific structure and its correct concept of the Japanese language.
In this for using Japanese drama scripts of three in 2008 showed, I looked into examples, and tried to analyze it as dividing three elements, social, circumstantial and psychological factors classified Japanese honorific behaviors at Han Mi-Kyung's book with 1) the upper and lower classes relation (home, office, school, general relation), 2) intimacy relation, 3) favors and roles relation 4) classification of conversation scenes, 5) indirect conversation by conversation media (a spoken language. a negative language, a character language), 6) a feeling of psychologic distance, 7) judgment regarding a topic man, 8) regard about the other party's feeling, 9) regard about the scene and 10) own dignity maintenance.
In the upper and lower classes relation, it showed honorific behaviors in ages and standings, and in intimacy relation it showed them as mutual friendship relation and estrangement relation. In favors and roles relation, it showed a trend that the person who got from a favor used honorific that earnestness is high relatively by comparison with the person who gave a favor, in roles relation it could show honorific behaviors uses of honorific changed according to strength and weakness of force. In classification of conversation scenes as changing honorific behaviors in official scenes and personal scenes, it showed they used honorific in official scenes for the majority(多数), and it showed the feeling of closeness they used a non-honorific in one-on-one personal scenes. In indirect conversation by conversation media, it explained it as divided by a spoken language. A negative language, a character language, but two case all showed a common figure to use with honorific for the message that oneself would express to partners. In a feeling of psychologic distance, it was governed by feelings, there were a lot of cases to be given mainly in names in judgment regarding a topic man, and it showed if a listener was considered that it is own side, he treated you without reserve and if not being own side, he treated honorific behaviors to rise a partner. In regard about the other party's feeling, it showed honorific behaviors to use stylized euphemistic expressions 「すみません」「お世話になる」「おかげです」「せっかく」etc. to front and back of conversations, in regard about the scene it showed figures to show in honorific behaviors to be elegant and refined as ceremonious languages use「こちら」「本日」「ご愛顧」etc. in specific places. Finally in own dignity maintenance, I was able to know that it wasn't a purpose to use it as it give consideration to a partner but it raised own dignity and it used by means of showing to the persons whom there is culture by honorific uses.
I was able to know that a Japanese honorific behaviors in real life were governed by various factors through this study. But it was reconsidered necessity of concrete and practical study through analysis of more data and actual examples as Japanese honorific behaviors is given according to comparative and subjective mental states. Also it has a purpose of this study it makes Korean learners use with correct honorific, it sees a partner by the honorific behaviors that are the least courtesy and consideration and it makes it so as to be able to speak natural Japanese.
