토론은 두 사람 이상이 정해진 규칙에 따라 찬·반으로 나뉘어 주어진 문제나 쟁점에 대하여 자신의 주장을 논증하는 상호 의견 교환 행위이다. 토론을 통해서 익히게 되는 비판적 사고력과 논리적인 담화 구성 능력은 자신의 의사를 피력해야 하거나 복잡한 현대 사회에서 만나게 될 분쟁의 상황에서 합리적인 대처를 하는 데 유용한 도구가 된다. 이러한 유용한 도구를 한국어 교육 현장에서 사용할 수는 없을까 하는 고민에서 이 연구는 출발하였다.

The focus of this thesis is on the development of a model to utilize debate classes to teach the Korean language to foreign students. Traditional debate classes already in existence have borrowed from Korean language class models either without having made the appropriate adjustments or with a number of elements extemporaneously added. It is expected that the objectives of debate classes of other higher education disciplines will differ from those of a Korean language class for foreigners, and it can be irrational to adapt models of the former for the purposes of the latter. Debates can pose significant challenges even to native Korean students, thus it would be unfitting to press the rigorous rules and formalities of debates on students learning Korean as a foreign language. Following a review of the preexisting literature, this study establishes the concept of debate and defines the objectives. It explores how the debate model presented below can be applied to existent debate curricula of Korean language courses, analyzing potential problem areas and drawing on survey responses on current practices at Korean language departments of numerous universities. The study then sets forth a theory to address the potential problems and to improve the present state of debate utilization in Korean language courses. After establishing the theory as the background, a constructed model for Korean language debate courses for foreign students is presented. The model is designed to reflect the problems that have been overlooked in previous Korean language debate courses and to be applied within the classroom. ,韩语论文题目,韩语论文 |
