현대 사회는 사회 문화적인 면에서 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 사람들이 사용하는 언어 역시 이러한 급변하는 현실 속에서 이전과는 다른 양상들을 보이고 있다. 우리의 언어생활에서 외래어나 ... 현대 사회는 사회 문화적인 면에서 빠르게 변화하고 있다. 사람들이 사용하는 언어 역시 이러한 급변하는 현실 속에서 이전과는 다른 양상들을 보이고 있다. 우리의 언어생활에서 외래어나 외국어가 많은 부분을 차지하고 있으며, 중·고등학교 학생들의 언어는 점점 거칠어지는 모습을 보이고 있다. 이 같은 우리의 언어현실은 국어에 대한 바람직한 태도나 긍정적인 정서를 형성하는 데 악영향을 주고 있다. 이러한 언어 현실을 반영하여 2007 개정 국어과 교육과정에서는 국어 의식을 맥락 범주에 넣어 교육의 대상으로 삼고 있다. 이처럼 바람직한 국어 의식 형성의 중요성은 점점 커지고 있는 실정이다. 본고에서는 이러한 국어 의식 교육의 중요성에 주목하여 연구를 진행하고 있다.

Reflecting this language reality, the 2007 Revised Korean Language Curriculum includes Korean language consciousness in the context category as an educational object. The importance of formation of this desirable Korean language has been gradually increasing.
