현재의 국어 생활은 외래어의 범람과 통신 언어의 무절제한 사용으로 오염되어 있다. 이러한 상황은 문법 교육의 필요성을 강조하고 있으며, 무엇보다 문법에 맞게 국어를 사용하려는 태도의 신장과 문법에 대한 긍정적 정서 함양을 문법교육에 요구하고 있는 실정이다.
이렇듯 21세기 시대적 상황의 변화는 자연히 문법의 교육 내용과 교수·학습 방법의 개선을 요구하였고, 7차 교육과정에서는 이를 받아들여 실생활 중심의 국어 현상을 바탕에 둔 문법 내용을 중요하게 다루게 되었고, 교수·학습의 중심을 학습자로 전환하고자 노력하였다. 또한 교수·학습 방법의 경우에는 탐구학습을 도입하여 주입식 교육에서 벗어나려는 적극적인 노력을 하고 있다. 그러나 학교 현장에서는 여전히 ‘문법의 교육 내용’이라는 문제와 ‘문법의 교수·학습 방법에 대한 연구 및 보급의 부족’을 문법 교육의 문제로 제기하고 있다.
따라서 문법 교육의 목표에 도달하기 위해서는 실생활에 적용 가능한 문법으로의 전환과 더불어 다양한 교수·학습 방법의 연구를 통해 문법 능력신장에 도움을 주어야 할 것이다.
본 연구는 다양한 교수·학습 방법에 대한 연구의 일환으로 Jigsaw 협동 학습을 제시한 것으로 Jigsaw 협동학습 모형을 문법 수업에 적용하였을 경우, 일반적인 탐구학습 보다 문법 능력 신장에 더 효과적임을 밝히고자 하는 것이다.
이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 선행 연구를 고찰하고, 이를 근거로 Jigsaw 협동학습 모형에 적용할 학습과정안과 전문가 용지, 학습지를 개발하고 성취 과제를 추출하였다. 관련 문헌과 선행 연구의 고찰을 통하여 ‘우리나라 중학교 학생들을 대상으로 Jigsaw 협동학습 모형을 적용하여 수업을 실시하였을 경우 일반적인 탐구학습 수업보다 문법 능력 신장에 더 효과적일 것이다.’라는 가설을 설정하였고, 가설을 검증하기 위하여 중학교 3학년 40명을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 40명을 실험집단과 통제집단으로 나누어 각각 20명씩 구성하고, 평가지를 제작하여 사전 성취도 평가와 사후 성취도 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과 실험집단에서 사용한 수업 방법이 통제집단에 사용한 방법보다 통계적으로 유의한 수준에서 효과적인 것으로 드러났다.
Jigsaw 협동학습 방법이 학교 현장에서 효과를 얻기 위해서는 교사들의 Jigsaw 협동학습 모형에 대한 충분한 이해와 연구가 지속되어야 할 것이다. 또한 교재의 재구성에 따른 다양한 학습 자료의 개발, 학생들의 능력을 고려한 학습 내용의 선정, 문법 능력을 신장시키고 측정하기 위한 다양한 평가 방식의 도입 등 구체적인 연구도 이루어져야 하며, 21세기 지식·정보화 사회에 적응력을 높일 수 있는 새로운 문법 교수·학습 방법에 대한 많은 관심과 연구가 끊임없이 이루어져야 할 것으로 생각된다.

As it mentioned above, changing period of 21st century has naturally considered improving on teaching and studying method of grammar which has accepted by the 7th educating curriculum to apply grammar contents of Korean language phenomenon primarily in reality. Additionally, there has been trying to alter the subject matter from teacher to student first, that teaching has been confidently avoiding cramming education with researching method. However, a reality of school education still propose problems of grammar educating; 'the contents of teaching grammar' and 'lack of supply and research on teaching and study method of grammar'
Hence, to be achieved the goal of the grammar educating requiresto be converted into functionally practicing grammar of reality of life and also need to research on method of teaching and studying as well.
In this research is a form of a part about method of teaching and studying that suggest 'Jigsaw co-operational program', furthermore, it will prove that applying 'Jigsaw' in grammar studying notablyeffects a grammar skill rather than regular grammar study.
The research has considered pre-experiments. Base on this, subject outline, practiced, and studying document wasneeded to be developed for applying to 'Jigsaw model' and finally abstracted a result of achievement. The hypothesis was that teaching grammar with Jigsaw to Korean middle school students will be particularly affected to be improving grammar skill than a teaching regular research class.
Forty students in third year middle school students were randomly selected, which separated into two groups twenty students in each as controlled group and as experiment group evaluation was prepared to obtain pre-achievement and post-achievement.
The result shows that teaching method that is used in the experiment group was statistically affected than method that is used the controlled group in intention level.
To obtain enhanced result of a jigsaw method in school for teachers are required having enough research, comprehension, and research should be kept going. Furthermore, development of studying documents, studying material's selecting, and introduction of variety evaluation also need to be improved for developing student's grammar skill.
Overall, continuous research and interests of grammar about teaching and studying method is inquiredto be improved for adopting in the 21st century that is also called knowledge and information society.
