본 연구는 한국어를 배우는 고급 학습자들을 대상으로 한국어와 함께 문화 교육을 위해 교육 방안을 모색한 연구이다. 전래동화는 오랜 시간 동안 해당 국가의 가치관이 축적되고 사회ㆍ문... 본 연구는 한국어를 배우는 고급 학습자들을 대상으로 한국어와 함께 문화 교육을 위해 교육 방안을 모색한 연구이다. 전래동화는 오랜 시간 동안 해당 국가의 가치관이 축적되고 사회ㆍ문화적 배경이 고스란히 녹아있다. 이러한 전래동화는 다른 문화와 언어적 배경에 처한 외국어 학습자들에게 소중한 교육 자료로서 가치를 가진다. 향유 계층이 특정 신분이나 나이에 한정되지 않고 서로의 가치관과 정서를 교환할 수 있는 문화의 결정체이다. 이것은 의미에 초점을 맞추고 이야기의 흐름에 자연스럽게 언어와 문화를 습득하는 데 좋은 자료이다. 목표언어인 한국어와 학습자가 가지고 있는 문화로 서로 소통할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 학습자 자신의 내면에 집중하면서 자기비판적인 사고로 확장하는 것에 교육의 목적을 두고자 한다. 한국어와 문화 교육을 목적으로 전래동화 선정 기준을 세우고 세계 50여 개국의 전래동화 중 한국의 전래동화『금도끼은도끼』와 유사한 전래동화를 교육 자료로서 활용가능한지에 대해 타당성을 살펴보았다. 또한 한국의 대학교 내의 주요 한국어 교육 기관에서 발간하고 사용하고 있는 교재를 대상으로 전래동화의 수록 현황과 내용을 살펴보았다. 교재 분석을 토대로 전래동화 선정과 교육 방안에 참고하였다. 세계전래동화를 활용한 한국어 · 문화 교육의 절차를 제시하였으며, 상호텍스트성을 활용한 수업 모형을 그림으로 제시하였다. 유사한 내용과 반복되는 구조를 활용하여 학습자가 상호작용하여 전래동화를 이해할 수 있도록 하였다. 학습자는 이해한 내용을 바탕으로 새로운 시각과 관점이 제시된 텍스트를 접하여 한국어 능력뿐만 아니라 사고의 확장을 경험할 수 있도록 했다. 고급 한국어학습자들에게 자신의 문화와 목표 언어, 목표 문화 사이에서 스스로 판단하고 행동할 수 있도록 하는 데에 충분한 교육적 의의가 있다. 문화적인 요소와 언어적인 요소, 학습자 배경 등을 고려하여 교육 방안을 제시한 것에 본 연구의 의의를 둔다.

The purpose of this study is to seek ways to promote cultural education together with the Korean language for advanced Korean language learners. Traditional fairy tales have the long-accumulated national value and socio-cultural background of their originating countries incorporated in them, which make them invaluable educational materials for language learners among foreigners from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Those who enjoy traditional fairy tales run the whole gamut of people regardless of their class or age who are willing to exchange their values and emotions through them. In this vein, traditional fairy tales are excellent materials for students to learn heterogeneous languages and cultures by naturally following the course of a story with focus on its meanings and implications. The purpose of education is not only to allows learners to communicate one another using the Korean language but via their own culture but also to acquire self-critical thought while focusing on their inner world. With an aim to education the Korean language and culture, I have set the selection criteria for traditional fairy tales and conducted a feasibility study to see if it is feasible to use traditional fairy tales among those from 50 different countries around the world, which are similar to one of the most famous Korean fairy tales titled 『The Honest Woodman』 as education materials. In addition, I have examined the content and description of traditional fairy tales contained in materials published by major Korean educational institutions within Korean universities, which have been used for reference purposes in selecting traditional fairy tales and making education plans. Allowing advanced Korean learners to make their own decisions and engage in activities between their own culture and target language/culture is sufficient enough to obtain the educational significance and implications.
