90년대에 들어와서 한국문화, 특히 한류스타나 한국드라마를 비롯한 한류 열풍이 불기 시작하면서 한국어도 자연스럽게 주목을 받게 되었다. 현재까지 중국에서 한국어를 배우고자 하는 학습자의 수가 많아지면서 한국어 교육의 발전과 한국어에 대한 요구가 커지고 각양각색의 한국어 교재가 편찬되었다.
한국어 학습에 있어서 교재 자체가 당연히 제일 중요하지만 교재와 같이 나온 부교재 부록인 CD-ROM, MP3 같은 음성 자료의 중요성도 효율적인 한국어 학습을 위하여 간과할 수 없다. 발음은 외국인 학습자가 한국어를 배울 때 가장 먼저 극복해야하는 것이다. 초기에 발음에 관한 학습을 정확하게 하지 못하면 학습자들은 한국어로 의사소통할 때 효과적으로 이루어질 수 없다고 예측할 수 있다.
한국어에 관한 관심을 가진 학습자들은 한국어 교재를 구입하고 스스로 한국어를 독학하려는 경우가 점점 늘어난다. 특별히 한국어를 접할 기회가 제한되어 있는 중국에서의 학습자들은 한국어 발음 체계를 배울 때에는 교사의 설명이 없이 교재에서 제시된 설명과 음성 자료에서 수록된 녹음에만 의존할 수밖에 없다.
음성 자료는 학습자로 하여금 목표어의 표준 발음을 정확하게 파악하는 데에 목표가 있다. 하지만 기존의 다양한 음성 자료의 품질이 균일하지 않는 것은 현실이다. 그렇기 때문에 본 연구에서는 최근 5년 동안 중국에서 기초 없는 학습자를 위한 개발된 자습용(비정규 대학 기관용) 초급 한국어 교재 중 음성 자료를 대상으로 하여 기존의 음성 자료의 실태와 내용에 대해 검토하였다.
본 연구에서는 먼저 음성 자료의 내용 구성을 살펴보았다. 각 음성 자료의 발음, 어휘, 회화가 기본 구성 요소를 바탕으로 자음, 모음, 받침, 음운 규칙, 색인 등 세부 구성까지 정리했으며 다양한 문제점을 발견하였다.
음성 자료에서 수록된 발화자(녹음하는 사람)의 말소리에 대하여 음운론적 분석과 음성 자료의 실제성에 관한 분석을 나누어 검토하였다. 음운론적 시각에서 출발하여 한국어 음운 규칙 중인 연음, 자음 동화, 경음화, ‘ㄴ’첨가 그리고 중국어권 학습자들에게 가장 어려운 겹받침의 발음 기준을 나누어 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 음성 자료의 실제성에 대하여 CD음질, 억양, 발화 속도, 음성 효과(효과음/현장 음)를 분석하였다. 이와 같은 분석 결과를 바탕으로 중국 현지에서 80명 한국어 학습 경험자들을 피험자로 선정하여 자습용 초급 한국어 교재의 만족도에 관련된 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 설문 조사 결과를 통해 알게 된 학습자의 요구를 바탕으로 앞으로 자습용 한국어 교재의 개발과 해당 음성 자료의 제작에 대한 개선 방안을 제시하였다.
중국에서 더 좋은 한국어 언어 환경을 만들기 위하여 한국어 교재를 개발하는 데 교재의 보조 교재인 테이프나 CD-ROM 같은 음성 자료를 정성껏 제작하여 수록된 발화자 발음의 정확성을 확보하는 동시에 한국어 구어의 특성을 최대한 반영할 수 있도록 노력을 기울어야한다. 학습자들은 이런 보조 교재를 통하여 해당 교재를 원활히 사용할 수 있으며 학습자의 학습동기, 학습흥미를 유발하는 데 큰 도움이 될 수 있을 것이라고 본다.

to interested in Korean language learning. At the same time various of Korean learning textbooks are actively being published in China. In terms of the language learning, pronunciation is an extremely significant part in beginner level Korean language learning. Thus, in order to establish effective communicative skills, the audio materials such as: CD, MP3 provided to learners have to be considered as
much important as main textbooks. Accurate pronunciation learning contributes to effective communication, however, a large number of problems could be found in the published audio materials, especially the materials for self-study learners. Therefore, the purpose of this is to examine the quality of elementary Korean learning audio materials published in China and particularly focus on the beginner level Korean self-study learners. For those who are studying Korean in non-native Korean-speaking countries, to establish effective Korean language education and communication, the accuracy of Korean audio materials is considerably more important. Based on the Korean phonological rules, the pronunciation error patterns such as:
connected speech phenomena, consonantal assimilation, the use of "n"-insertion, the pronunciation of final double consonants and Korean glottalization phenomena have been analysed in the first place. Furthermore, regarding accuracy of the pronunciation being collected into audio materials which have been discussed into two main sections: sound quality (timbre) and intonation, sound effects and overall speech speed. In addition, the authenticity of materials, the contents construction and the propriety of the materials’ difficulties, to review if it is suitable for beginner level learners, have also been analysed in this . For the purpose of stimulating Korean language learners' learning interest and motivation, based on the review of the problems picked out from the materials, this is aiming to propose effective approaches for the improvement of audio materials published in China so that it could be helpful to stimulate Korean language learners' learning interest and motivation.
