A study of the methods based on Task -based
learning in teaching Korean using Korean poetry
These days it must be true that the way of the teaching foreign languages should focus on improving the ability to communicate, and should be based on the interactive task and learner-centered communicative approach. Teaching korean is also in the flowing of the ways.
Lots of researches being made for teaching korean are showed the methods how to improve the communication skills.
Because it is certain that many teachers begin to realize that they need various kinds of texts and methods of teaching korean.
To make the class for students to communicate and interact in a various ways, it's true many kinds of texts for korean classes are wanting.
Therefore, this study suggested the effective teaching plan with task-based teaching method, using korean poetries.
This plan, using korean poetries, focuses on the practicing speaking, writing, listening, and reading (especially pronunciation), which are four functions for learning language, and when processing the speaking class, korean culture implied from the korean poetries can be the topics.
Moreover this plan tried to show that the teaching methods focused on integrating all the four skills and culture.
Chapter one is about previous studies in teaching literature. It said most of studies were about how to teach focusing on analyzing literature not on the practising language and it seemed to be less practical.
Therefor this study said it should be focusing on how to combine the language skills and culture and to use in class.
Chapter two showed, first it is about the utilities by using korean poetries, when teaching korean to communicate in class.
Second, it said the definition the effect of the task-based teaching method. Third, it showed the plans made from the research above.
Finally, Chapter three displayed how the classes with two groups of the students progressed and then analyzed the result after posing some questions.
In conclusion, these teaching plans of task-based method utilizing the Korean poetries are based on the interactive task and learner-centered communicative approach emphasizing being able to practise the language four skills and cultural things from stories of poems can be various topics to make students feel free to talk in class.

시 텍스트를 이용한 과업중심 교수모형 개발 연구
요즘 전반적으로 외국어 학습을 하는데 있어서 학습자들의 의사소통 능력을 향상시키기 위한 교수법이 중시되고 있는 것이 사실이다. 외국인 학생들을 위한 한국어 교육에 있어서도 의사소통 중심 교수법에 주목하고 다양한 방법의 연구가 이루어지고 있다.
교사 중심의 주입식 교육을 통해 학생들에게 지식을 전달하는 것이 아니라 학습자가 주체가 되어 다른 사람들과의 상호작용을 통해 그 상황에 맞게 어떻게 말할 것인가, 언제 말할 것인가, 무엇을 말할 것인가와 같은 담화 규칙을 알 수 있다. 그래서 의사소통 중심 수업을 통한 상호작용의 장을 만들어 주는 수업이 중요하다는 것이다.
그러나 의사소통의 핵심인 상호작용을 위해서 다양한 텍스트나 교수방법이 많이 부족한 것 또한 사실이다. 교실 수업에서 다양한 맥락이나 상황을 만들어내 자연스런 의사소통 전략이 만들어 지는 활동이 필요하다. 이런 활동을 위해서는 다양한 종류의 텍스트와 수업시간에 학습자 중심의 수업을 이끌어내는 다양한 활동의 연구가 필요하다. 사실 현재 이루어지고 있는 많은 연구들을 살펴보면 한국어 수업자료를 위해 한국 소설, 시, 수필, 한국 드라마, k-pop등 다양한 텍스트들이 연구되어 지고 있다.
따라서, 본 연구에서는 텍스트로는 다양한 텍스트 중에서 시 텍스트를 활용하고 수업 모형 중에서는 학습자 중심 의사소통 수업 모형중 하나인 과업중심 교수법을 이용하여 효율적인 수업모형을 개발해 제시하고자 했다.
시 텍스트를 활용해서 언어의 기능 연습, 즉, 듣기, 읽기, 말하기, 그리고 쓰기 연습을 할 수 있고 더불어 문학작품 안에서 볼 수 있는 한국의 문화, 언어습관 등을 인지하고 이야기해 볼 수 있는 문화수업 교수 방법을 연구하고자 했다. 그리고 이러한 언어기능 연습을 효율적으로 하기 위해서는 다양한 활동이 필요하다. 그래서 시를 단순히 읽고 이해하는 데서 멈추는 것이 아니고 과업을 이용해서 의사소통이 활발하게 일어날 수 있는 수업을 연구했다.
따라서 본 논문의 구체적인 연구 절차를 다음과 같이 진행하였다. Ⅰ장에서는 현재까지 진행되어 온 문학을 이용한 한국어 수업 연구를 살펴본 결과 문학자체, 즉 문학적 가치를 내재하고 있는 학문성격의 문학교육과의 연계성을 많이 다루고 있고 또한 이런 수업은 학습 대상자를 고급 수준 학습자로 한정지어 연구하는 사례가 많다는 것을 지적했다. 그리고 문학수업에 대한 중요성이 분명하지만 그 방법에 있어서 실질적이지 못하다는 문제점을 이야기 했다. 그래서 본 연구는 한국어 수업에서 문학텍스트를 활용한 수업은 일차적으로 문학을 이용한 한국어 언어기능 수업이라고 하는 게 가장 적절하다고 주장했다. 즉, 문학을 활용해 언어의 네 가지 기능면을 골고루 연습할 수 있는 언어 수업에 초점을 맞추어서 이야기 했다.
Ⅱ장에서는 문학텍스트가 언어기능 학습적인 면에서 어떤 효용성이 있는지 알아보았다. 먼저 의사소통 중심 수업모형 중 하나인 과업중심 교육법의 이론적 정의와 그 효과에 대해서 알아보았다. 그리고 시 텍스트를 이용한 언어의 네 가지 기능학습과 문화수업의 효용성을 알아보고 문학텍스트를 의사소통 중심 수업 모형에 알맞게 수업을 구성하기 위해서 이 두 이론을 바탕으로 시 텍스트를 과업중심 수업모형에 맞추어서 교수모형을 개발하고자 했다.
다음 Ⅲ장에서는 이들을 통합적인 언어수업에 단계별로 적용할 수 있도록 세부적인 수업 절차를 마련하여 실제 외국인 대상의 한국어 수업에 활용해 보았다. 그리고 마지막으로 위 수업 모형을 가지고 실시한 실제 수업에 대한 평가와 제언에 대해 논의함으로써 본 연구를 마무리 하였다.
