기독교무용은 성경에서 나타난 찬양 중 한가지이며 하나님을 예배하는 요소이다. 이러한 기독교무용이 교회 내에서 존재하기는 하지만 본래의 기능을 충분히 파악하고 활용하는 교회는 실상 많지 않다고 할 수 있다. 이에 기독교무용이 주님을 찬양하는 예배로써 사용되어지기 위하여 본 연구에 필요성이 요구된다. 연구대상인 목회자(전도사, 강도사, 목사)의 성별, 연령, 교파, 직분, 목회경륜에 따른 인식차이를 확인하고 목회자가 기독교무용을 어떻게 인식하고 있는지 총체적으로 파악하고자 한다. 또한 교회 내 기독교무용의 방향성과 기독교무용이 더욱 활성화되고 발전하기 위하여 기독교무용이 예배 중 방해되는 경우, 기독교무용이 가장 필요한 경우와 기독교무용가, 목회자, 교회로 나누어 개선방안을 파악하였으며 현대 교회 내 기독교무용의 인식분석과 개선방안의 결론은 다음과 같다.
첫째, 기독교무용이 예배 중 이루어질 때 방해요인으로 작용되는 가장 큰 요인은 기독교무용의 ‘이해되지 않는 작품내용’이다. 이는 중복응답이 가능한 문항으로 총 243개의 응답 중 94개의 응답이 있었다.
둘째, 기독교무용이 가장 필요하다고 생각되는 경우로는 ‘타 문화권 선교시’로 나타났다. 이는 중복응답이 가능한 문항이며 총 245개의 응답 중 108개의 응답이 있었다.
셋째, 기독교무용가가 교회 내 기독교무용의 인식을 개선하기 위하여 해야 할 노력으로는 ‘영적성장과 성령충만’이 16%로 응답이 가장 많았다.
넷째, 기독교무용의 올바른 교회 정착을 위하여 목회자로서 할 수 있는 역할로는 ‘격려, 인정, 인도’의 역할이 16%로 응답이 가장 많았다.
다섯째, 기독교무용의 활성화를 위하여 교회가 할 수 있는 역할로는 ‘기회와 지원’이 23%로 응답이 가장 많았다.
여섯째, 현대 교회 내 기독교무용이 더욱 발전하기 위해서 필요한 개선방안으로는 ‘대중성’확보가 11%로 응답이 가장 많았다.
이러한 연구 방법과 인식분석, 개선방안 도출을 통하여 현재 기독교무용이 교회 내에서 잘 정착하고 활성화될 수 있도록 도우며 목회자들이 기독교무용에 대해 더욱 자세히 알고 기독교무용이 예배로써 자리 잡을 수 있도록 돕고자 한다. 또한 앞으로 기독교무용이 복음적 사명을 감당하고 춤추는 예배자를 세우는데 중추적인 역할을 감당하기 원하며 교회를 구성하는 모든 사람들이 기독교무용이 예배라는 사실을 인식하고 더 나아가 하나님을 예배하는 모든 성도들이 온 몸으로 찬양할 수 있는 날을 기대하고자 한다.

Christian dance is one of the method to praise God which is found in the bible as well as the element of worship. Although the christian dance is performed in many churches, there are not many to fully understand its original function and apply it correctly. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to use christian dance as the praising tool of worshiping God. In this research, the perception gaps of among the ministers (the subject of study - preachers, probationers and pastors) depending on their sex, age, denomination, duty in church and ministry experience was investigated. It also examined by a holistic approach to understanding of ministers on the Christian dance. Especially, the reason that the christian dance becomes the obstruction during the worship service as well as the moment that it is needed the most were identified to present direction and to the development of christian dance in the church. In addition, improvement for christian dancers, ministers and churches was suggested to improve it according to the survey. Analysis of the contemporary church’s perception about the christian dance and suggestions for improvement are summarized as in the following.
First, Including the duplicated response, 94 out of 243 participants surveyed responded that the main factor that the christian dance is regarded as obstruction during the worship service is esoteric art performance.
Second, Allowing the duplicated response, 108 in 245 participants surveyed answered that the most necessary situation for christian dance is for the cross-cultural missionary work.
Third, the most of participants that I surveyed, 16 percent of them, said the spiritual growth and the fullness of the Holly Sprit are the most priority to the christian dancer to improve christian dance.
Forth, 16 percent of participants surveyed answered that encouragement, acknowledgement and guidance of ministers are required for taking root the correct perception of christian dance in church.
Fifth, 23 percent of the participants surveyed responded that the church need to provide opportunity to perform and to support to the activation of christian dance in church. Sixthly, 11% of survey participants say that publicity is necessary for the development of christian dance in the church.
Through this research method, analysis of perception and suggestions for improvement, this research helps the settlement and activation of contemporary christian dance as the type of worship as well as deep understanding of ministers on that. Furthermore, I expect that christian dance would take responsibility to the gospel mission and play a pivotal role in the growth of dancing worshiper. Also I hope that every member of church recognizes the fact that the christian dance is equal to the worship service and worships God with their whole body.
